Qulaar Pistol: What's Wrong With It?

So I was happily trudging along and whamo, the Qulaar Pistol drops. Awesome, says I, despite the WALL OF TEXT that pops up every time I mouse over it. Can't wait to try it out. So I mail it to my only pistol using character, a Gadgeteering/Munitions gunner. I equip the gun, and my #2 button (the Two-Gun Mojo power, the only one with a handgun) suddenly has text describing one of my Talents, and the power stops working altogether.

Pressing #2 produces no results, at any range. Pressing 8 (where the gun is equipped on inventory, does nothing. Mouse clicking directly on the gun just produces the aforementioned Wall of Text dutifully informing me of all the damage my gun should be doing.

Was wondering if this was a common bug, if it's not a bug but the result of the character having Sonic Blaster as its energy generator, or something else altogether.

    Seemed to work fine for me. Just used my pistol attacks and the effects of the pistol were added.

    Still not working for me. I tried a Gatling Pistol replacer instead and that's working fine, so maybe I got a bugged drop or something.

    I'd blame the postal service myself. Probably kicked the box around during shipping.

    I don't have a character that can use it, but I do get the wall of text.

    Pretty sure it procs a random ability, and all of those random abilities are listed on the tooltip. It's annoying to say the least...

    Pstiol powers get WALLS OF TEXT because of the number of different combos pistols can do.
