Auto Loot - Anyone found it?

I have looked everywhere and not found an auto loot option. I have found this to be standard in most games. It would really enhance the face paced nature of game play. Auto loot = linking /automating 3 tasks in the GUI with an On or Off switch. Its STANDARD in all MMORPG's today. Sorry Cryptic, I know you are all trying out so many new concepts, that we love, like freeform character development that it may have been lost in the wash. It goes along with being able to double click to loot and item and open doors I do hate to say. This is head start know some things are still being worked out.

1 ) What are other peoples thoughts?
2) Should this be added?
3) Is this needed to help Champions succeed with the general gamer?
4) Will it simply improve our game play?

5) To all you coders/programmers out there, that love CO, do you think this is a necessary/high priority feature that can be implemented by Sept 1st?

I thought that hitting "Z" again when the loot window is open will "Take All".

I agree, it would be nice to have:
    • 'Loot' + 'Take-All' = Mouse click

Does not seem like a feet in coding, though I will admit, I have not seen the code for the UI.

When the window is opened just press "Z" ("Y" for german layout) to loot all.

Thanks, I can move that hotkey as needed too.

I still think the traditional double click for an Auto-Loot option in the UI would improve the overall playability of the game.

Maybe it's just me, but I never knew there was loot.I get resources with every kill, and the occasional '!' above a dead mob, but seriously? Aside from quest items I get maybe 1 drop every 100 kills. I think the system works perfectly the way it is. when I'm standing next to the mob I just double tap 'z' and I find it to be much faster than any other game I've ever played. No longer do I have to get my cursor on the dead guy to right click. Just 'z' 'z'. Done.

I've remapped the interact button to my mouse and clicking it a 2nd time will not loot the items. I have to actually click the take-all button in the window.

Probably because the mouse is also used to interact with GUI elements (such as the loot window) and that the system checks that first, invalidating the interact part. I've been using Z to open loot and Z again to loot all since OB and it works perfect. Just move over an item, double tap Z and done, the only way it would be faster and easier, is if Z would loot items on the first tap.

remapped my z button to my middle mouse click. Tap it multiple times to break free from holds, tap it twice to loot all and works great for opening doors. Only problem is when trying to talk to an npc, pick up an item , use a table, loot, etc and there is a object you can pick up near by... damn objects!

EDIT* Seems that I can no longer auto loot by tapping twice. Maybe I was mistaken before? Oh well Still liek having z tied to my middle mouse click. : /

What's really strange is that there are a handful of things that drop straight into your inventory upon KOing a mob, no looting required.

I wonder why they decided to go for the mix-and-match aspect?

Are you sure the auto-looted items are from mobs? I've not seen that myself (not that it doesn't happen!). items that drop from world objects like crates DO auto-pop into your inventory -- AoE attacks often hit objects near enemies and break them apart and can be easy to miss.

Me, 3. I'm going to go so far as to say this is the biggest quality of life issue they can improve on at the moment.
