Patcher hanging and Server not responding

Where to begin...
Currently I cannot even load up the patcher. I load up the game, and get the 'Cryptic launcher Autoupdate' box which just stays there for 10 minutes or so, then I get a Error message, reading that it's been idle and timed out. This closes and then I repeat.
I was playing earlier fine, and then started to get a 'SERVER NOT RESPONDING' message pop up at the top of the screen which would cause my toon to jump back to the starting position. Or cause me to fall through the floor and run around under the map.
These only started to occur today.
Any suggestions for either?
