So there was a thread about this last night, appears to have been deleted.

But for me, the issue hasn't been resolved. Just filed a ticket, but I wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue.

I was part of the OB this past month, so I already had the client installed. I was told a Best Buy pre-order would get me into the head start, so I went a purchased a box with a key. I have entered the key into the site (multiple times) and the site recognizes it as a valid key, but it won't retain the code.

On the client side, I can log in, but on the patch screen, it doesn't start patching. The error I get is:

"No shards found: You have a ticket with 1 permission pairs, but no shards were found."

I can't for the life of me get around this issue. Had anyone heard anything about what that error means?

    i have exactly the same issue, althout i pre-ordered with play.com.
    I also purchased a lifetime subscription, which my account didnt recognise, nor did i get a confirmation email, yet my card has been billed for it.
    there are many of us in the boat :(

    I FIGURED IT OUT!

    I found this in an older thread, should be stickied for all to see:
    You will need to reenter your key from the link on the home page. At which point it'll ask you if you want to join the 6 month or lifetime subs. If you don't want/ can't afford one you have to decline it and this is where it gets tricky, at least for me. The check boxes were not showing up on the page. After looking at the source and seeing they were supposed to be there I just clicked where they should be and blam the appeared.

    If you want either option click beside the beginning sentence of each offer, if you don't want it scoll to the bottom of the special offer box and where is says no thanks click right underneath it and it will appear. After I did that and hit submit it worked.

    Why Cryptic hasn't simply made a sticky or an announcement clarifying this is anyone's guess. It wasn't apparent to me right away, because in Chrome the checkboxes DO NOT show up, not even a hint of checkboxes. So I assumed it was just another advertisement for subs and did't scroll down to see the "No thanks" option and the Submit button.

    Enter your code in IE so you can see and use the checkboxes, and you should be fine. Click Submit (I had to twice) and you will get a confirmation screen. I'm patching now. :)

    nice one mate, glad you got it working.
    however, my key says its already been used. damnit! lol
