Crashing at Cryptic loading screen

For two nights now I crash every time at the same spot when trying to load the game. I have had little issue getting the patcher to work, however once the play button lights up and I hit play the game brings up the Cryptic loading screen and about the time it is going to switch to the Atari loading screen it crashes and I get a small box that pops up and says CrypticError: Oops! at the top then "Oops! Your Cryptic Application has crashed. To help us out, please indicate what was going on at the time of the crash, while we gather information" Sometimes when I enter in info, it sends and other times it does not seem to. Also, the icon that shows up in the system tray has CrypticError PID: 3940 at the top.

Please note this is only on my laptop, which is primarily what I will be playing the game on. I can log in fine with my desktop.

    I am having the same problem on my XPS M1730 laptop. IAfter latest patch it freezes my laptop at the cryptic screen, however I get no error message, I have to force restart my computer, everything freezes even the digital clock above my keyboard, a complete bomb out! Have you managed to resolve this problem?...I wonder if its a laptop problem as my desktop computer runs the game fine?
