Cant get in to play champions online

I downloaed all my updates that i needed and patched champions online, clicked play then it loads up to the champions online wall paper where the hereos are fighting the Big monkey on fire then it just freezes there. So i ctrl alt del and it say not responding. Can someone pls help me out with this problem. Would like to play this game asap.

    i get to just past pressing 'Play' before being told my system may need to run on the lower settings. The only problem with that is I Know my Rig is more then able to run this game. I click ok with the lowered spec's just to fault out due to an Error with the D3D....whatever that is

    What is your rig specs and what version of drivers are you using?

    Mine let's me log in, "validates" the files which is useless, then goes to the Cryptic loading screen with the Cryptic logo where a popup (behind it) says the piggs/bins/hoggs file failed to extract. Please don't tell me I have to download 2.2 gigs again and re-install. What is the point of that file validation?! I don't see anywhere to tell it to run a deep or complete validation. This started tonight ever since the game crashed on me.
