Skill level not increasing for sicence

I've collecte at leat 20 times and my skill level is only at 2. Anyone else having this problem?

    NM, they reduced how often/much you get skills from collecting.

    I found Researching and Developing to be the best method of increasing skill anyway.

    Research is where your gonna skill up. Then develop something you may not use, and research that. Makes a good loop.

    Besides, you need to research for the mild profundatities (spelling) etc. Problem is, I have about 9 arcana recipes I can't buy because I'm not getting the mild ones.

    A good bit of time I will research a bunch of stuff, then develop something, then use what I developed to research, and so on and so forth. It eats up your raw materials pretty quick, but it raises your skill level like crazy.
