Pre-order key invalid

Greetings!

I currently have a pre-order with Game.co.uk and yesterday recived my key for my ingame items and three day headstart. Just one issue, The key apears not to work. Im told its either invalid or allready in use.

Game.co.uk never gave me an open beta key but i was able to participate with a file planet key and I have sent a number of emails to Game.co.uk's support but we all know how rapid the responces can be with them. Sent the first yesterday, and here we are now on Friday and heading into the weekend.

Meaning now ill probabaly not get a responce untill Monday... meaning ill miss the three day headstart.

Anyone else have a simular problem?

    i have the EXACT same problem...as in i didnt get a beta code from game an i got my headstart code yesterday an stuff too....apparently my codes invalid too...im just the same as you Ray

    I have exactly the same problem and i did contact Champions support about, they cant help us and told me to contact game (which i have) but i highly doubt getting a response anytime soon. Weirdly someone else in this position did get in with his key, hes told me to check it when typing it in, but im copying and pasting it and still wont work (i have checked for spaces and i have inputted manually).

    Well this is just great.

    Tempted to cancel at this point. Was going to get a life time sub too :(

    Ive tried the same thing Ranooth.

    Cryptic tell you to contact GAME, and Game usualy take three days to get back to you, and Oh look! the three day headstart is today, Meaning by the time they get back to us, it kind of defeats the point.

    Realy disapointed :(

    telling you i have the same problem doesnt help XD...
    so far iv left 2 tickets an that was 3 hours ago an still no reply..but they have been very busy so obviously im not too fussed but i then spoke to a gm on that IRC an he said they will eventually get round to it because they are busy atm...so its just a matter of waiting...which sucks

    I ordered by play.com. Three days or so into open beta I still didn't receive my open beta key. So I used a key I got from a french site. Then I finally got my play.com key. The good friend I am since I was playing anyhow now with that french key, I gave mine to a friend.

    Now it seems that , for the headstart you have to use the SAME key as for open beta. So basicly I'm ****ed now since that key is bound to my friends account. I opened a support ticket for this but no answer yet and tbh I don't believe I will get one. No way they will agree to switch the key from accounts without any solid prove and except the email from play.com I don't have any.

    so GREAT start ...

    No point they'll just tell you exactly what they told me:

    "Thank you for contacting Cryptic Studios. If you purchased your pre-order key for Champions Online and did not receive a working beta key, you will need to contact the place your purchased for the pre-order. We are unable to verify who you placed your pre-order with.

    If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us again."

    Pritty much, Ive got couple of friends im talking to in my vent at present, one ordered from GAME and his worked, the other from PLAY.com and has the same issue as us, Got sent a duff key.

    Seems to be hit and miss with this stuff, Gota love MMO launches, but from a personal experiance this is the pits for me.

    /sigh i have got in contact with game an they suck at getting back to you....it took them like a week almost to get in contact last time...which makes the week headstart pointless.....fantastic T.T

    This is the last time I ever do buisness with GAME.co.uk period >:Z

    They have just totaly destroyed my weekend and the plans I had for it, glad I didnt take the time off work for the headstart now.

    id say the same ray but the only other game store near me thats good is HMV an it still sucks balls abit...we have 2 game stores in meadowhall (local shopping mall)

    same from me, bought from game.co.uk and it doesnt work, have ticketed, but no answer :(

    many people who pre-orderd the game From Game have had this problem best thing you can do is ring the support line tommorrow and get a key that works .

    ... Game.co.uk help line 0871 200 1221 Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm ...

    Well still no answer , let alone read of my petition so that makes up my mind once the one free month is over thats it for me.

    If this is how the customer support is for what basicly is a BILLING issue, then it's clear they do not care about customers just revenue. I wouldn't give a rats arse if they took a week to answer a gameplay bug petition but a BILLING petition ... sry this is not a company I want to be a customer at.
