REPENT- Reformed Evil Perpetrators Ensuring a New Tomorrow

The power to do evil can easily become the power to do good; in every sentient being lies the chance for atonement. These tenets are the cornerstone of REPENTs charter. Founded in 1993 by Fen Hunter and sanctioned by UNTIL, a veteran hero who had once been one of VIPERs elite and wished for other individuals to have the same opportunity for correction that he had, REPENT offers another option for certain meta-human villains who are caught by the law. In exchange for being kept out of prison, members of the REPENT program are expected to work as registered heroes. Since most who accept this option do so out of necessity, the program is as one may expect heavily supervised. Initially meetings with probation officers and attendance of morality seminars are exceptionally frequent. These become progressively less common as a person spends time in REPENT, with the hope that villains are truly rehabilitated by working alongside other heroes. Additionally, members of REPENT are expected to take residence somewhere in Millennium City. However, UNTIL covers a significant portion of living expenses while they do so in addition to a small salary.
Not every villain to face justice, of course, receives this beneficent opportunity, and it is usually only granted in certain circumstance. Perhaps potential members turned themselves in, possibly they were willing to give away valuable inside information, or maybe someone of influence saw a flicker of hope in them. Whatever the case, those who are offered a place in REPENT usually are those who have done something to prove themselves capable of correction. Naturally, other hero organizations tend to look down upon REPENT, given its purpose and background. However, over its 15 year and ongoing lifespan, it has proven itself an effective unit, not only in fighting crime, but in turning evildoers into heroes.
REPENT is an RP group centered around ex-supervillains working as heroes as part of a rehabilitation arrangement. As such, SG chat will be IC, though we will have an OOC channel. Additionally, while we dont require you to be the most in-depth RPer around, a basic concept for your character is a bare minimum. All this said, as a member you will be able to spend your time in game as you please so long as you do not disrupt rules of the game. You can RP, PvP, PvE, or whatever. Rules to follow are pretty basic: Respect other people. Realize that behind every character, theres a person. A guild site is currently in the works, but for now anyone with questions or interest in joining should be sent to me, either on this forum via PM or in-game as @DisgustingHobbit. Alternatively, you can post here and I'll get back to you.
