Generic SG, a supergroup for people who hate supergroups

After playing many MMO's I think it is time someone did something to make a truely innovative group that says something about how most people feel about the overall lameness of groups in general. Within 10 miniutes of launch of this game there will be a million SG's that are really not worth joining or just be an annoying invite spamming borefest. I will be making a supergroup for people who hate blind invites and generally hate super groups. We will not have events, we will not ask or require anything of you, I wont lie to you and promise that we will have groovy love-fest costume contests because they are lame and wont be any. Me and my existing friends love to PVP, so if thats your thing great, if not , doesn't matter. Yes we have ventrilo, and I really wont care if you join us or not. The whole idea came from when my friend and I were playing Warhammer Online and I said "man I wish something could be done about all these kids spamming invites to their guilds I have gotten 5 invites to different guilds in the last minute". So the idea was born. Just shut up and play.

Wait, you're making an SG... for people who hate SGs? I don't mean to be rude, but isn't that a bit counter-intuitive? If you feel that strongly about it, then good luck to you, but... it still strikes me as a bit odd...

I fully understand your point ,
In my opinion SG's typicaly fall into a few catagories:

    1. The SG is something that will last until the leaders gamecard expires.
    2. The SG is a RAH-RAH! go me ! session for the guy who formed it.
    3. Drama queen fest
    4. a conglomerate of people who seek out PL'ing and have no real skill.
    5. Someone wants to feel important so they make an SG.
    6. The SG is a love-fest of people who have no friends in real life and are otherwise not capable of relating to another human being.
    7. OMG we are so great

I have a family and RL friends, gaming isn't my world, some people want a "group" that isn't a group, they want to be able to walk away and spend time with thier kids and not have someone throw a fit that they haven't logged in in a month. I hate blind invites, if I wanted to be in a guild I would look for you, don't look for me. I have run large SG's and been thru all the "we hate XXX SG" , it's lame. It's a game people need to get over themselves. The overall concept is to tell people who spam invites "I would rather have a name that means absolutly nothing over my head then to join your group"

    8. OMG we are so MEGA

Edited to include the obvious 8th option. Can't believe you missed that one, it's my favourite of all.

Good luck on your not-an-SG though, seriously. If you ever need a hand, let us know. I probably wont help not-recruit though.
