Seeking Like-Minded Players To Form Mature/Casual SG!

Just as simply as the title states, I am looking for a few interested folks to join me in creating a supergroup that is accepting to a more mature kind of gamer with a busy life. I'm sure there are a few SGs currently that fit this criteria, however none of them really peaked my interest, so I thought why not see if anyone else would like to join me in forging a fun little community based on casualness and without the pressures of hardcore gaming styles that many groups adhere to.

I have many resources at my disposal to facilitate the growth of a community, including hosting space and a modest technical know how to get a community going. I would love to see how many people are interested in helping so that we may come together hopefully sometime prior to open beta and decide on a structure of the SG as well as possible names and such. I am not looking to rule such a group on my own, I would rather prefer to communicate as a whole and decide how to go about creating the SG.

Please feel free to post your thoughts or questions and I really look forward to getting this going as soon as possible.

If you would like to know a little bit about myself, I'd be happy to share: I'm a 22yo MMO fanatic with a beautiful wife and amazing kids, real life always comes first to me, but in my off time I enjoy as much gaming as I can possibly get and I'm all about having fun and making friends while doing so!

    Hey Voss....I felt the same way thats why I started a group of my own......we already have a few members are are growing strong everyday.......why not think about combining our efforts!!

    Hi, voss i'm 34yrs old I was a leader of a game called asheron call for 7yrs , I then went to wow, coh and AOC I did not become leader in any of them as I took a break , I have many years experince in leading a guild /team, I enjoy helping others and what not, my wife used to be my co-leader she may or may not play CO its up in the air.

    My wife started off with AC, she was top brass too (Mist of Avalon if I remember correctly). She wasn't all that interested in Champions Online until we got into CB.

    Hello Folks,
    I am Randy, nice to meetcha. I am a laidback gamer that usually enjoys the company more than the game itself. I lead when needed, but prefer to back someone elses plays. "I am a idea man, and thrive on enthusiasm". I have a small crew jumping from WoW to CO and would love to join up to make a successful Super Group. I am interested in a casual, (laid back and fun) but organized (pvp and pve teaming) that can enjoy all aspects of the game from RP to pvp with some pve on top. I plan on making a toon or ten for beta goodness, what would be the best way to look you up amigo?

    Oh, and please have a good name for the supergroup, lol.

    Alright, looks like this is turning out well, I do not currently have a voice server, but if you guys are all serious about getting this going I can easily arrange for one to be setup. I'll look into getting some form of temp private chat system going to begin discussions on our soon to be SG! :)

    I agree, I'm not a fan of ridiculous names for guilds and whatnot, but that's why I wanted to start from the beginning with people who are interested so that we can all decide on a name together.     Settin' up a forum would be good too. You can setup an invisionfree forum which feature your barebone basics. Guildlaunch is what I use to set up ops an' organize my guild. It's free an' offers a variety of widgets that help make a site more appealing.

    Discord's got some pretty good ideas for names.

    Good idea Madriker, as I stated before, we have no need for these free hosts as I have resources to easily put together something on my own hosting space so I'll use a spare domain name to setup a temp forum to discuss our supergroup. Details to come shortly!

    Voss, you seem like a stand-up person!

    I love to game but I work 10-12hour days a lot so its hard to find a casual group to party with. You can definitely count on me being in your SG!:D

    well this sounds fun and just what i was looking for i am 24m, getting married june 2010 hoping i can join you guys in your effort. i to have run guilds/clans ect and have lots of experiance in mmo's pls consider me and i hope to see you all in a month. i do have a pre order from walmart and best buy but no key yet so not sure if illl be in the beta on the 17th "crosses fingers" i hope so. any way hit me up with a message so i can find out your reply/answer thanks.

    If you want to join us all you have to do is head over to the temp boards I set up and join in the discussion to decide how we wish to form our SG!

    Hi,

    I'm a 35 years old software engineer who would like to balance playtime and real life. I think your Superhero group is something I could get into.
    I'm also a comic book collector, which led me to this game (and City of Heroes as well).
    I hope to meet you ingame or online soon.

    Aw man, I gotta be careful with Champions, lol. I've been abstaining from my local comic shop for years now to try an' patch that whole in my wallet...

    This looks like the perfect group to work with. I enjoy good company and making new friends.
    The casual play will nice at times I may go on a binge and play for many hours other times just
    coming on for a little action.

    Went and signed-up on podhost. Sounds like a group of people like me -- enjoy gaming casually, but still need to keep one's priorities. In other words, I'm not a teenager anymore.

    Hey, i looked at your forums and noticed one of the suggestion on names were League of Legends. Well, just so you know, LoL is an upcoming DotA game

    Im really positive on joining this guild, looking at how people want to play casual and all :)
    Though it sounds stupid, it really comes down to the name for me
    I really liked Eclipse, simple, and leaves a mark in peoples head. Names like Super Defenders and such isnt really my cup of tea. But ill think this SG has a bright future anyways :)

    It's not stupid at all, I completely understand what you mean, as a matter of fact I think that is why so many people are responding to join us, because they get a chance to help shape the SG as opposed to join whatever was pre-determined. ;)

    Hi all,

    I'm a 32 year old male gamer who is hoping to play CO about 15 hours a week tops. I consider myself a helpful and friendly person, and play for the enjoyment of the experience, not for the min-maxing of characters (though if that's your gigs and you're good at it, have a blast). I enjoy playing with people who don't mind a little fowl language.

I figured i'd catch more flies with comedy, but clearly, superheroing is no laughing matter. Anywho, perhaps ill see some of you out there!

    As for an alliance, that is up in the air because we are still forming our SG and need to discuss these things.

    Things are shaping up. We finally picked a name for the SG, got a ventrilo server up and currently working on a website.

    Im interested in signin up. Ive looked at the forums youve set up, but i cant join myself up to them as i live in britain, and because its american times (im guessin) i dont think i can sign up to the forums. would be muchly appreciated if i could get a hand sortin somethin out to sign on to the forums
