Welcome to the Vindicators recruitment thread.

We chose the name Vindicators because:
It came up in the thesaurus under the word champions and it looks cool as a logo.:D

Who are we?
We are a mature and family friendly super group based in Australia. We aim to see and enjoy as much content as possible while maintaining a fun and casual atmosphere. This team will be PC based and we will set up Vent once we start getting into content that requires it (i.e. group encounters). PVE will be our primary focus but we will get into what looks to be some promising PVP content.

Will we RP?
The truth be told I’ve never tried it before. I have nothing against it but I don’t think I could manage my time well enough to create a back story for my toon/toons and enjoy actually playing the game. You are welcome to RP but it will not be one of our primary focuses.

Recruitment:
Whilst recruitment is generally for everyone, we do ask that you are 21ish or older. :) We also have a fairly structured team charter to ensure everyone is comfortable and able to play the game without feeling like they are wasting their time. We are a GMT+10 guild (raid times will be 8:00 PM – 11:30PM Australian EST) so this may be something you want to consider before applying.
All recruitment will be managed via the team website.

Team Structure:
Chief – Guild Leader and Council Member
Lawbringer – Officer and Council Member
Regulator – Event or Group Leaders
Vindicator– Core Member
Defender– Casual Member
Cadet – Initiate or Trial Member
Once we set up a core group we will select 4 core members to be officers.

Hope to speak to you soon. :)

We're not cool enough to spam the LFG threads with recruitment info so we'll just bump this thread. Head on over to the website and fill out an application.

Too many Omegas and Zero somethings. I think Omega is even the name of some of the "end game" content or related to it some way shape or form.

I was on holidays and got bored while messing around on Photoshop to make a long story short. :P

props on the name change Babasan, it sounds smoother and looks better with the comic book style logo.

Still waiting to see how the game goes b4 I commit to a SG but I fit ur time zone and play style so u may see me in the not too distant future.

(did u get into the beta starting 1st-5th Aug?)

    Cheers mate.

Nah I haven't received any e-mails regarding beta keys and I've tried every way possible. I may have been a few hours late on the gamerzine thing. I'm getting the distinct feeling that Oceanic players were not figured in to this game's demographics. :p

Oops and as far recruitment goes, I think its slow going for everyone outside of the existing guild/clans coming from other MMOs. Just giving Oceanic players an option is all. I'm thinking people will make up their minds one way or another wants closer to launch day. I'm cool if we go into the game with low numbers. Despite the lack of love for us GMT+10 folk I'm still keen to play. lol

My friends and myself all got accepted. Just waiting for the code now so we can download. We are all +10 GMT (Queensland).

Condolences for you not getting in.

As for not being figured in. I thinks its has more to do with distributors being lazy. (\em looks at EB Australia) But that’s just my personal opinion.

Either way I am in the same boat as Turrent. Just waiting to see how the game plays before I commit to anything.

I'm just working out whether I'll dive into CO. I seemed to have an issue on your wepage, couldn't get the Charter up.

Do I need to register first?

Sight is up and running mate. No you don't need to register to view the guild charter. Guildlaunch was down for maintenance last night so maybe you just tried to access it while it was still down.

Hey, me and my friend will join (ill get him to post here one day)

This SG sounds really what we're lookin for. I mean you have a site so that's cool, but it looks like most of the stuff will be done in game and we dont have to check a forum every single friken day.

Cool name and I'll definitely apply for Officer or Squad Leader (i could probably lead a PvP section as it's my favourite part of an MMO)

Applying on the site now ;)

The site looks wicked and that Comic book cover is sick! Looks real :D
Hope we get more people when it starts up, that site looks really awesome and really well done.

And yea, me and my friend do parkour as like a hobby.

Also I'm going to get a new avatar for my Eagle hero and a new sig feauturing The Eagle and advertising the Vindicators :)

I need a name for him though. I could just keep it "The Eagle" but that's a general name. I'll prob make all my heroes eagle related :) So yea Any Ideas? He's archer/technology based. This is open to anyone looking in here

No worries. Whatever you come up with is cool. At the moment, people are taking their time about SG's in general. Some of the teams that have been on these forums for months are already starting to splinter so I'm not trying to push the pace, just trying to keep this thread alive until launch. I figure that's when memberships will start to pick up.

Nothing wrong with " The Eagle" mate. Whatever you choose will be cool.

For the moment Soldier mate. Other than this thread there is not much to do yet. I'm debating about signing up with File Planet so I get can get into beta (I haven't received got in to OB yet) or waiting until official launch. In any case, I'm not going to spam recruitment threads, just bumping this thread and picking up who we can until launch.

Once we've a got a core group we'll establish the Officer group. Anybody that signs up now I'm automatically bumping to Soldier as a sort of pre-order bonus. :D

I'm keen to try out some Arena style PVP as well so we'll discuss strategies and interest once the group fleshes out more. Still thinking our key focus will be PVE though. I'm a former WoW nut myself. Whilst I did some PVP, PVE was my thing in WoW. Nothing set in stone though. Still lots of time before launch.

    Alright no worries.

Yea PvE for sure. I PvE a lot aswell.. But not to brag, but I love PvP the most because I pick it up really quick and get good easily; as understanding things quickly and be tactical (just ask people i've played with :P)

But yes I will be designing a hero with support and damage for PvE and he will also be capable in PvP. An all-rounded hero for every situation :)

And It is a bummer about the 10th. I'm just going to buy it off steam.

I'm keen for this game too. Definitely going to check it out before I fully commit, heh, especially after what happened with Age of Conan.

    From the A.C.T. =]

We'll see how things turn out, but I definitely appreciate the organisation you've got going on here, so look for me a little closer to launch. That said, I'm terribly under-informed on this game and the sort of heroes that will be available, etc.

Any place I can get some more information?

    Cheers guys.

Hi there guys. Ive been reading bout CO for awhile now and every time I do, I get less fingure nails and more eager for release. I played CoV for awhile and have played a miriad of other MMO's. It's good to see an Aussie guild that really is an Aussie based guild. Im not one that usually joins a guild, due to time zone issues and the like. An Australian based guild changes that for me greatly. I'd consider myself a semi hardcore player. By that I mean, I tend to be able to pick apart the mechanics of a system to make full use of any slight advantage that an engine may provide, but do have a job/life etc. (someone sure to take offence at that, please don't) so am unable to make it into the ranks of a true 'hardcore player'.

Anyways... I really hope to get into BETA and look forward to meeting you guys ingame.

Goodluck on getting a beta pass.

    Gday ;)

Good to see that there is an Oceanic guild advertising here. Ive been following this game for a while and previously played CoX for nearly 2 years. Im currently playing Age of Conan and really like the game, but I still want to give CO a go to see if its going to peak my interests. I like the name of your guild and if I like the game (which im sure I will) I will send an app if your still looking :)

Hopefully will be bringing a few guildies from AoC with me too..

I've gone ahead and subscribed to FilePlanet which is meant to get me into Open Beta on the 17th. I'm probably going to purchase the game online from Direct2Drive so I'll be able to play at launch. I

Sounds like a costlier option overall and I don't think I get the extra costumes but I guess GMT+10 players don't have many options. Hope to see you all in game soon. :D

Sharks are circling. Recruitment forums are going nuts. How exciting. :p

    We are:
    • Casual (This is not a second job)
    • Mature (We have some 30 somethings and f we feel like slamming our faces through our monitors we will not mention it in-game)
    • GMT+10 (Most of us are from Australia or are based near Oceania)
    • Family-Friendly (Real life commitments take priority to in game commitments)

Although we are GMT+10, we are happy to take players from anywhere. Just check out our website, read our team charter (no located in public forums) and submit an application. You will need to create an account with guild launch first. Hope to hear from you soon.

have you got the beat key for when open beta starts? if not when do u get it?

how big is the download for the beta and for the actual game and can u download it yet?

also do you know if there will be game cards for this like wow released in australia cos i dont really want to use a credit card after the free 30 days r up?

    thanks

Hey mate. You get the beta key mailed to you but you also get access to it via the Direct2Drive website. The download is about 2 gigs at the moment but I'd say you may want to prepare for at least 4.

Not sure about the cards mate.

    Sup all

So far to answer above questions...

beta keys for open beta are limited to 50 000 (I don't know where that number came from originally but I have seen it thrown around a lot), again there was various comps to get one, and anybody who preorders a copy of the game was guaranteed one.

When I downloaded the beta client it was 3.8Gig and has already patched 400meg since, so even with some dropped data 4gig seems to be a good quote from Babasan. As for downloading it you can do so now (as of the 5th/8th) but it doesn't activate till 17th.

No clue about game cards yet haven't even heard a whisper of em
