I was going to ask out of panic what happened to the Premiun coin access now that the Death Lords are gone and replaced, with 8/10 tokens

But logging in the game, Blood Moon Rising Daily is NOW granding Turakian Premiun Coins to its palce

    Ghosthunter Rifle

    Increased pull effect.
Any buff on Ghosthunter Rifle is welcomed

SERIOUS QUESTION: What is the even "Intended" Energy unlock to use with Ghosthunter Rifle!?

Because this thing cost as much as a 3-Toggle Power Armour build

Wait, a new currency that requires 10 coins to buy a costume piece, that you can only get once every 20 hours, with one week remaining in the event? What am I missing? You do know there's only 168 hours in a week, at best we can get 9 coins before the event ends.

    Blade Tempest

Fixed an issue where this power could bypass a portion of the global power cooldown time on power activation, allowing it to have higher dps than intended.
Lowered the activation times of this power to 0.4/0.4/0.67 to better match with its animation times. Damage and cost has been adjusted the accommodate the new activation times. The (intended) dps of the power remains the same.
Players who owned Blade Tempest have received a free respec.

Is the effort to attain specific geared tailored towards certain builds not taken into account when they're chosen to receive attention? Because I kinda feel like I wasted my Onslaught tokens to get those Medusa Gloves now.

And no the free retcon doesn't make me feel better about that. I already had about three free retcons on that toon and now it'll add ANOTHER two weeks of grinding OV stuff.

Edit; I am more disgruntled about the OV token thing than the actual change to the power. Same issue I've been on about for awhile now. This just felt like sandpaper on the cut.

For Freeform builds like my own, that have been using Blade Tempest as their alpha strike melee attack

Well, now I'M FORCED to pick Dragon's Wrath on my Fire+Dual Blades+Ice build

It would be cooler if Storm's Harvest got buffed instead

  • no offense kaiserin. but you are an idiot why do you nerf Blade Tempest that power is good in damage the only OP is your OV medusa gloves I sometimes wonder that when making decisions you really think to give you an example something that you really should nerf is the lightsaber set that set is very OP that set does absurd damage, but there you do not say anything you are very hypocritical I am surprised by the time you have been in this game, and you have not solved any problem beyond aggravating the wound more what I find most annoying is that when you do those nerf you do not give compensation to the players who invested their time-wasting the OV secondary gear and the set damage mods I mean your solution is basically a nerf and a free reset and that's it as if nothing was going to happen that is dumb in fact I am tired of all this **** you always nerf the most normal powers, but the OP powers instead of nerfing them you just buff them in my case I had to spend a lot of Q to move mod my characters as well as move devices and stuff to other characters because with your nerfs you left me in the **** with another character but no more I don't want to waste my time on a poorly optimized game and with a cheap comedy of devs that can't even take responsibility for their own game and community I don't care if you ban me or mute me I'm going to tell the truth as it is I'm not angry I'm tired that there is no damn change for the better beyond the damn boxes and the CO DRAMA in general...

Stopped reading there and skimmed the rest. Unless you're less that 12, there is no excuse to be disrespectful and obnoxious. Kaiserin is an employee. They do what the bean-counters and managers tell them to. Builds change all the time. Things get adjusted, powers nerfed/improved/radically altered as the game evolves. CO is now over fifteen years old, and has been free-to-play for the vast majority of that time. If you've put no money into the game at all, then you're not wasting anything except a few hours of gaming time (something very few of us actually get paid to do). If you have spent money, then sure, you can be annoyed, but again, no need for you to be disrespectful.

You are right, generally I shouldn't be disrespectful, but sometimes there comes a time when morals and tone take a backseat. At this rate, I don't care about anything. Most people prefer to just put their heads down and settle for everything because they are conformist cowards who will always have the thumbs up no matter the decision or direction of a project or place. In my experience in CO. you can't be an educator primarily when there are people doxing and trolling for pure fun in my case I never write anything in a forum beyond some suggestions because I never had a reason but looking at how things are going I already reached a point where the little I had to offer this game was broken you're right I didn't spend almost any money on advancement but I did spend a time of my life and obviously a person who doesn't like it throws away time without compensation that could be worth that work and kaiserin for me is not the best voice in the community for things she did for that reason I don't have any positive feelings towards her and the current devs and the same thing I think of the community that for the most part they say things but do other things...

  • What I don't understand is why isn't there time being spent fixing things that are game breaking? Like the dogs or alerts screwing up all the time? There's so many things wrong with the game. I understand that blade tempest was bugged, fair. But a lot of skills are bugged. How come those weren't fixed too? Some adv just dont work properly. It's almost like somebody complained about Blade Tempest and then it was patched lol. But yet you have way bigger problems with the game other than that. Fine whatever. But you've really put people that farmed the ov in a tight spot. The damage reduction while not severe, is significant enough to notice, and if now you'd be interested in adjusting your build, you can't. Your tied to Medusa's Onslaught, your tied to your utility mod, and much more. A great solution would be to revert Medusa gloves and return the 5000 ov tokens that were farmed, so if people choose to change their build up, they can at least do that. A free retcon token in this situation really doesn't do anything lol.

Perhaps! Wouldn't surprise me since I was so hyperfocused hunting down Death Lords for the PVDS for my fire melee character, that I ignored the Crypt daily this year!

Doesn't matter anymore once I hit 10/10 Tokens Tomorrow! All ends well!

There was apparently a change to the zombie number required for the daily though. Now it matches the individual crypt quests instead of twice the amount. Always thought it weird they didn't match up.

It is pretty funny that folks are going absolutely bonkers because a bugged and overpowered POWER...POWER, not set, got set to intended levels and is, lets face it, still probably the #1 pure combo based power that uses Medusa. Blade Tempest was a single target nuke...an AoE nuke...AND its own debuffer. Three in one. Taking absolutely zero technical skill with no regard for timing or energy consumption, nor cooldowns. Now you can't just smash one button to reach beyond 11k DPS and actually have to...make a build. Blade Tempest is still fine. It stacks up Medusa even MORE quickly, still debuffs, still AoEs...just have to press/hold an extra two buttons to get to that 10k+ spot.

    *Edit*
Though, I do sort of approve the ability to swap out your OV gear. While it's tied to the current unfun and broken OV system, farming for it is a slog, extremely anti-player if there's another OV player just in the zone also doing targets. Don't even have to mention it's positively awful during events as you can't really go ANYWHERE...and forcing the player to be another premade character in a game who's main draw is to play...your own character. It just doesn't fit anywhere in the gameplay loop of CO.

All the gear should just be...swappable within their offense/defense/utility types until something gives. Give Teleios Ascendant a reason to be played again please, at least lessen that horrendous OV grind that literally no one likes and has no reason to be played to its original intention. There's zero reason to keep it when you have a lair that's already made, has no meaningful loot-table, AND it's actually fun to play...not to mention tying the gear to TA still makes sense from an in-game lore perspective.

I get it. Someone worked on the coding and probably worked very hard on the OV concept. But it was still a failure, and it's important to acknowledge that it didn't work. There's been plenty of other ideas which have been scrapped for one reason or another, not sure how the Onslaught Villain grind managed to this day escape unscathed.
