Could you be more specific about any themes or powersets you're looking for here, and/or if there's any other goals you have as far as content or gameplay? After the revamps (so far), most of the powersets can have workable melee and/or ranged builds associated with them, so it'd be nice to narrow it down even a bit.

Okay I guess I'll make some basic DB and Archery builds then:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Melee Damage)
    v3.45:38

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Dexterity (Primary)
    Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Samurai (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 10, End: 8)
    Level 6: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 9: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)
    Level 15: Accurate (Dex: 5, End: 5)
    Level 18: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)
Level 21: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Rain of Steel
Level 1: Blade Tempest (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 6: Form of the Tempest
    Level 8: Unstoppable (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Steadfast
Level 14: Eye of the Storm (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Dragon's Wrath (Tiger's Courage, Dragon Rush)
Level 23: Sword Cyclone (Rank 2, Blender)
    Level 26: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Parry (Rank 2)
Level 32: Strike Down (Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 35:
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 31/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Dexterity: Combat Training (2/3)
    Dexterity: Gear Utilization (3/3)
    Dexterity: Deadly Aim (3/3)
    Dexterity: Expose Weakness (2/2)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Upper Hand (2/3)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Dexterity Mastery (1/1)

The last 2-3 powers can be w/e ya want.

For single-targets, use Blade Tempest apply/refresh Shredded, and otherwise use charged DW as your main attack. For AoE, Sword Cyclone can rope enemies in, and you can use it, Blade Tempest's cleave, and/or EotS (if you want to play more defensive w/ it's shield) as follow-up AoE. Gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Con and Rec (and some cost discount on gear).

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Ranged Damage)
    v3.45:38

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Specialist (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Int: 8, Rec: 10)
    Level 6: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 9: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 15: Coordinated (Dex: 5, Int: 5)
Level 18: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
    Level 21: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Strafe
Level 1: Straight Shot (Rank 2, Split the Arrow)
    Level 6: Concentration
Level 8: Targeting Computer (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 11: Hunter's Instinct
Level 14: Storm of Arrows (Rank 2, Achilles' Heel)
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Rapid Shots (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Desperate Shot (Stim Pack, Frail Armor*)
    Level 26: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Retaliation (Rank 2)
Level 32: Torrent of Arrows (Rank 2)
    Level 35:
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 30/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Intelligence: Preparation (2/2)
    Intelligence: Tactician (3/3*)
    Intelligence: Detect Vulnerability (3/3)
    Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Intelligence Mastery (1/1)

Again, the last 2-3 powers can be w/e ya want. Also, the HC Planner isn't up-to-date atm, so NttG on Desperate Shot should be Frail Armor, and you'll want 3/3 in the revamped Int PSS's Tactician.

For single-targets, charged Straight Shot can apply/refresh the AP debuff, while Desperate Shot can apply/refresh Frail Armor, and otherwise you can use Rapid Shot as the main attack (and you can get either R3 to keep its mobility or get the Concentrated Shots adv to trade its mobility for more dmg from it). For AoE, you can potentially open w/ charged Torrent of Arrows, while Storm of Arrows can be your main AoE (and you can get either the AoE Root adv or R3 for it). Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Dex and Con.

thank you, i hawe one question. how to boost my critical chanse?
  • flowcytoflowcyto Posts: 12,888 Arc User
Dex and crit rating both increase crit% generally (and both are on the same DR curve for it), while some specs like Vindicator or Ego PSS's 6th Sense also increase crit% (usually by flat amounts). The 1st build has Dex as its main stat already and Vind spec; while the 2nd build also has Dex SS'd + Expertise (though Int is still its main stat), Guardian's Find the Mark, and Vind spec. Given all that, both builds should have pretty high crit rates overall w/ decent gear.

Yea, I'm focused on building for pve and am not that familiar w/ pvp, sorry. Perhaps others can help here, and/or you could ask for help in-game if you want some pointers on pvp and how to build for it. Good luck w/ it, either way.
