But come on now... 7 TOXIC PVDs? This is getting ridiculous and unfair at this point!
To the point I joke with my friends that the Christmas event is gonna get
TOXIC ICE PVDs
Can't help but notice how OVERWHELMING amount of Support, Toxic damage has been getting with PVDs, to the point or becoming ridiculous how much love its been getting compared to other Damage types!
This is causing QUITE the uneven damage type variety
7! WHOLE! TOXIC PVDS!
7 and a Half because Cauldron Fire creates Poison stacks
Toxic PVDs that have innate access to their own DAMAGE DEBUFF compared to others PVDs
Anniversary Event - Qularr Invasion Simulator
- Qularr Toxic Rifle
- Virulent Shot
- Qularr Toxic Barrage
Halloween - Bloodmoon
- Flaming Pumpkin
- Toxic Blades
- Venom Shock
- Blight Touch
- also technically Cauldron Fire since it creates poison stacks with its Magic-synergy
Those two events are CLOSE to each other!
PVDs are fun! But please give us more variety for damage types!
Gadgets got revamped and here I was waiting for SONIC and PARTICLE PVDs support! It never happened
I'm gonna make my own suggestion list of personal wanted PVDs ideas at this point
I'm starving for Elemental MELEE PVDs!
I want Fire melee! Ice Melee! More Electric Melee
Please sir, can I have some more Elemental-Melee PVDs?
I need Burning Chi Fist PVD that turns into Fire Patch (which is already close to it with the Righteous Fury ADV
The irony is that I enjoy the concept and theme behind the Toxic PVDs, while Infernal is my
least fav powerframe (aesthetically speaking)

If we want to look at Assault Rifle specifically? We've got two Assault Rifle PVDs in the game right now (Qularr and Frost) with a third one (Pulp Fiction Rifle) coming on the PTS, that one (currently, dunno what it'll look like a month from now) being a mixed Assault Rifle + Sniper Rifle PVD along the same lines as Blight Touch being a mixed PVD. That's three total for a single power.
Ooor alternatively, Munitions as a whole has the Qularr Rifle, Frost Rifle, Pulp Fiction Ray Guns, the Qularr shotgun, Qularr minigun, Ghost gun (U-MD shenanigans my beloved) and STE Plasma shotgun. And then the upcoming Pulp Fiction Rifle, for a grand total of eight Munitions PVDs. (And yet somehow, miraculously, we don't have a Grenade Launcher PVD to go with the costume unlock of the same name that got introduced last Nighthawk Event... huh. Weird.)
I'd like to see more variety in PVDs, but then, I don't think we're going to be seeing much in the way of unique and creative PVDs most likely. The majority of PVDs we get are effectively "swap the damage type, give it bonus damage based on stacking an effect or give it a refresh or rupture of some kind," which isn't exactly horrible as long as there's decent damage involved (Qularr Rifle, Frost Rifle and Pulp Ray Guns are all great PVDs despite how basic they are after all) but at the same time aren't the kinds of radical changes I enjoy seeing in PVDs either, like the transformation from Submachinegun Burst to U-MD Ghosthunter Phase Rifle, or the transformation from Shotgun to Laser Shotgun, or the transformation from Throwing Blades to Blade Barrage, all drastically different in PVD form from their base iterations.
This is my cry for help
7 (and a half)
I forgot Flaming Pumpkin despite having a character build around it!
Love that focus
Toxic gets 7 PVDs while Sonic gets a single PVD which gets NERFED to the ground because Therakiel Temple
