The Mad Scientist Turned Hero

Are there any new powers in the Gadgeteering set that would go with my theme? Basically an ex-villain that uses mad science to thwart her foes. Wanting to use this portable robotic facility for something fun. I don't know enough about the new powers to know what would work best, hoping you guys could help with that. Any suggestions?

Well, most of the Gadeteering set could potentially satisfy the theme here, and there's many choices for it now after the revamp (though obv it'll be a pain to build here w/o the HC planner updated). To help narrow it down, were there any powers in particular that you wanted to try to use for it?

I suppose anything that isn't particle damage-inducing, which I guess is a big part of the powerset. I've been playing particle characters for a while, wanted to try and make something unique from it.

Particle is most of what Gadgeteering is now. You could try to cobble something together using the fewish sonic type powers, if that fits your theme.

Yea, there are enough Sonic dmg-based powers to make an easy full set from it now, if that's what ya want:

(not going to post a PH link here, since there's too many of the new powers/advs that aren't there atm)

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Intelligence (Primary)
    Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Specialist (Dex: 10, Con: 10, Int: 8, Rec: 10)
    Level 6: Negotiator (Int: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 9: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)
    Level 15: Impresario (Dex: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 18: Coordinated (Dex: 5, Int: 5)
    Level 21: Acrobat (Dex: 5, Con: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Sonic Blaster
    Level 1: Concentration
    Level 6: Sound Amplification
Level 8: Targeting Computer (Rank 2, Rank 3) (*or take R3 Radiation Suit)
Level 11: Sonic Device (Rank 2, Deafening Dissolution)
Level 14: Sonic Boom Generator (Rank 2, Sonic Suppression Enhancer)
    Level 17: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 20: Sonic Beam (Rank 2, Sonic Boost)
Level 23: Electro Magnet (Rank 2)
    Level 26: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 29: Energy Shield (Rank 2) (*or take R2_3 Radiation Shield)
    Level 32: Cloaking Device
    Level 35:
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: -/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Intelligence: Preparation (2/2)
    Intelligence: Tactician (3/3)
    Intelligence: Detect Vulnerability (3/3)
    Intelligence: Expertise (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (3/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (2/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Intelligence Mastery (1/1)

The last 2-3 powers can be w/e ya want. It's not an early leveling build (but if leveling w/ it, you can train one of the blasts early on and train out of it later).

I forwent some of the plasma/radiation stuff (the shield, the slotted passive) but you can also opt to take them if you want to try out the new stuff, and w/o any major changes to the build. One exception I made here was adding in Elecro Magnet- it may deal Particle dmg, but it can be pretty useful in AoE situations. For single-targets, you can use charged Sonic Boom Gen to apply/refresh Deafening, while Sonic Beam is your main attack. Sonic Boom Gen is your main AoE, and Electro Magnet can also help then. Sonic Device can also be thrown in for a bit more extra dmg (for either AoE or single-target). I decided to stick w/ Conc as the toggle/form here, since it'll be easier to stack when you don't have as many cd powers for the new toggle/form.

Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Rec and Con. Con SS could also be replaced w/ Dex SS if you want to trade some maxHP for more crit%.

Just gonna poke my head in real quick. I assume you did this by just copying the format from the HC Site, rather then the full link, since HC hasn't been updated yet?

You mind showing me a example on how you did that, cuz I'll need to update my Nanite build soon enough

Super easy. Just go into the Export "tab" of HeroCreator and edit the text there.

Yea, I just make up a quick 'mock' build w/ what's in the Planner already (filling it out as much as I can, but obv w/o the newer stuff that isn't in there atm), copy and paste the text in the 'Export' tab here, and then edit it manually. You prob also want to save a copy of the final edited build's text for yourself, since it won't be reflected accurately in any link to the HC Planner.
