Game Update 2024/04/11
- Auras mentioned in the thread are no longer causing this issue.
- The 'frost' effect from the Ice Shield ability still causes the issue presented in this thread.
Thread will be updated/re-opened if there are more conflicts.
Original thread:
This is
Gel. They:
- Use the Metallic Ooze Tunneling Travel Power;
- Use "Ghost" Material for body parts (Head, Hair, Torso, Hands, Legs and often Feet);
- stay visible despite becoming an ooze on the floor.
I've found that a number of Auras seem to show the character model despite the Travel Power being enabled.
I have NOT tested any of the other Tunneling Travel Powers. In the following image, I'm using Metallic Ooze Tunneling and the following non-combat Auras:
Psionic Aura: Body / Cosmic Aura: Body (Glows) / Dripping Venom Aura
Which all stay visible despite the rest of the character model not being so.
Different costume, mostly "Ghost" Material again. In this instance, the non-combat Aura are:
Nocturne Aura / Ice Sheath / Quicksilver Aura
Lastly, in this one, the only "Ghost" material in this costume is Hairstyle B. Hairstyle A is "Brushed Metal".
Auras used:
Footprints Aura / Dripping Venom Aura / Starlight Aura
If using
no Auras on Gel but using any costume with "Ghost" Material selected, a similar effect occurs whilst using Ice Shield power and moving about, as it casts an effect on top of the player character while in use.
Conclusion:
I think it's specifically the "Ghost" Material which triggers the effect.
My best guess is that not all of its properties are listed to be invisible while the Travel Power is in use (since certain Body aura effects stay visible if placed over "Ghost" material.
If I can make a bold request, I'm hoping to preserve the unique look of this character while also being able to use the Metallic Ooze Tunneling without the player character becoming accidentally visible to others -- perhaps the player model can be set to a size 0.01?
Thank you.
