Fox Hunt issue: Broken Foxbat

With the rollout of the new Open Mission, the Foxbat south of Champions HQ got moved to the front entrance of the building. The problem is, this seems to have broken it for the daily Fox Hunt mission and the perk for examining Foxbats downtown. It can be examined, drops loot, and even goes on cooldown, but doesn't trigger progress for the perk or mission.
I'm guessing something under the hood got disconnected in the move? A link in the code or a flag or something?

    luckily the foxbats we checked on day 1 are able to claim again, but it is annoying that I had to fly all the way to the other side of the map to finish this mission.
