Question about using the Onslaught device during open events

Greetings, yesterday I took a test, I used an Onslaught device during a Nightmare Colossus raid, well, I dealt a lot of damage to the boss even without being able to use charged abilities (they are disabled in the event area), as expected, I received many AoE attacks from players. In the end, after defeating the boss, I was able to use all abilities, and it was a massacre.

My question is whether this is normal and part of the game or if I am violating any rules. If not, what is the purpose of the Onslaught device?

    I confess I felt a bit guilty doing that, as there were many low levels around. That's why I'm in doubt.

    You could be in trouble for doing that. It is considered to be a form of griefing, since you are forcing players to tag you by putting yourself in the middle of an open mission.

    In short, don't do that again.

    Really the OV system is in desperate need of an overhaul, it's terribly designed.

    Especially for content that contains TOP endgame gear.
