Unable to Authenticate or Connect

Hello all. I've been having trouble with logging in to Champions Online all day (I started trying at midday, and it's 8:30pm now). Every time I try, it always says something along the lines of "Unable to authenticate" or "Unable to connect to account server".

Sometimes it says this after trying to load the launcher 7 times, sometimes it says it instead of letting me login, and once it happened as I hit the play button.

I've restarted the computer, restarted Steam, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, cleared my cache - basically any piece of advice I could find, I took - but no progress has been made.

I'm actually getting desperate at this point. Is this problem happening to anyone else? Can someone help me find the solution? Any helpful advice would be very much appreciated!

Same issue here. Repeated 'could not connect to account server', both in the launcher, and in the client once it managed to get that far. In-game, it sits on 'connecting to account server' or 'connecting to Login server' for about two minutes, then kicks me back to login screen.
(Missed the DotG costume contest today because of it, dammit...)
Edit: Forgot to mention, same thing happened on tuesday.
Additional edit: It did manage to login in once, but timed out on game server once I picked a character.
