Mind Slayer Slicers don't allow tinting

I got the costume unlock from the Attend alert and I can customize the bracer version of this unlock, but when I was going to use the Martial Arts Claw version called Psi Slicer 2, the color picking allows me to select a color but the claws don't change their color.
