An incomplete list of powers with base damage bonuses that don't say base damage

Technically a sort-of continuation to this thread, my assumption that Fiery Escalation, especially taking two seconds of time to set up for just one attack, was meant to actually benefit the user at all instead of being a direct downgrade from an extra rank of Fire Strike stemmed from the following: a large variety of powers, including a lot of mainline DPS powers for their respective sets, still don't correctly label their base damage bonuses as base damage, instead only labeling them as "additional XX% damage" or "increases the damage of this power" or something else to that effect, leaving it up to the player to assume that that's referring to base damage, or sometimes will mention "base damage" in the Adv Purchase Menu but not on the baseline tooltip that you see available when checking on the power in the Powers Menu, or in the All Powers list/menu. So, thinking on it, I figured I ought to skim through for a few of the big names that could stand to be corrected to avoid confusing and misleading actual potatoes like myself in the future... and to avoid leading people into awful and intentionally-bad newbie traps like Fiery Escalation through confusing terminology.

Note! When I say "All Powers Menu" I'm referring to the menu you access to just... look at all powers, or to pick out a new power to purchase whenever that comes up. There, the base tooltip of advs is displayed below the power's own base description but above the power's summary tooltip (which is me referring to what you see mousing over it on your hotbar and at the very bottom of the power's base description, under the "Show advanced description" dropdown.) When purchased, a power in your own personal Powers Menu will not show the base tooltip of any advs the power COULD have, nor even the base tooltip of any advs you DO have, which is... rather irksome. If you've taken any of these powers then the only way to see these tooltips is through what I'm calling the Adv Purchase Menu, which is... probably not the official name but entirely self-explanatory! There, you can see both the base tooltip of each adv, as well as the advanced tooltip of it, specific to the Adv Purchase Menu and not seen anywhere else. With that said, here's a few I found just from skimming through the All Powers Menu first, marking them down, then checking them in the Adv Purchase Menu on a blank character on Live to compare.

Soul Beam's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Damage increases if you are affected by an Enchantment and if your target is affected by a Curse." Its summary tooltip at the bottom and on mouse-over in the hotbar reads "Deals an additional 10% damage to targets affected by a Curse." and "Deals an additional 10% damage if you are affected by a Enchantment." There is no change in the Adv Purchase Menu, as this is innate to the base tooltip.

Defile's Lethal Poison adv's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Increases the damage of this power against targets afflicted by multiple Poison effects." Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip however correctly reads "Increases this power's base damage by 30% if your target is affected by at least 5 of your Poison effects."

Devour Essence's Devour Soul adv's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ If you are above half health, increases the amount of damage this power deals for every full maintain." Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip however correctly reads "Increases this power's base damage by 10% (up to 30%) for 10 sec every time you fully maintain this power."

Thrash's Vicious adv's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ If you are above half health, increases the amount of damage this power deals for every full maintain." Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip however correctly reads "Increases this power's base damage by 10% (up to 30%) for 10 sec every time you fully maintain this power."

Ebon Ruin's Nyctophobia adv's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Increases the damage of this power against Feared targets." Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip however correctly reads "Increases this power's base damage by 30% if your target is affected by Fear."

Annihilate's Scorching Blade adv's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Increases the damage of this power against targets affected by Clinging Flames." Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip however correctly reads "This power deals an additional 30% base damage if the target is affected by Clinging Flames."

Ego Blade Annihilation's Mental Acuity adv's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Your focus doubles the bonus damage this power deals for each stack of Ego Leech it consumes." and "+ Increases the damage the Ego Annihilation effect deals by 50%." Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip is completely empty, and simply says "ENHANCEMENT" in gold letters, with nothing else written at all.

Dragon Uppercut's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Deals increased damage versus enemies that are immune to Knock, such a bosses." Its summary tooltip at the bottom and on mouse-over in the hotbar reads "Targets immune to Knock effects take an additional 25% damage instead." With Ghostly Strikes, it simply lists 20% instead of 25% but is otherwise the same. There is no change in the Adv Purchase Menu, as this is innate to the base tooltip.

Dragon's Wrath's Tiger's Courage adv base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Dragon's Wrath has its damage increased by a factor of your current chance to land a critical hit." This makes no mention of Tiger's Courage capping at 30%. Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip however correctly reads "+X.X% Slashing Damage base strength" where the X.X% is your current Critical Chance on your character up to 30%, and 2.2% at bare minimum on a completely blank character. It still doesn't mention capping at 30%, however.

Force Cascade's Focus Point adv base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Increases this power's damage." among its other effects. Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip, similarly to Mental Acuity's, is completely empty, outside of simply saying "ENHANCEMENT" in big gold letters.

Incinerate's Burninator adv base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Increases the damage of this power by 10% against targets affected by Clinging Flames." Its Adv Purchase Menu tooltip also reads "+ Increases the damage of this power by 10% against targets affected by Clinging Flames." with no mention of it being base damage, despite it being, well, base damage.

Lightning Arc's base tooltip in the All Powers Menu reads "+ Deals an additional damage to targets affected by Negative Ions." Its summary tooltip at the bottom and on mouse-over in the hotbar reads "Deals an additional 20% damage to targets affected by Negative Ions." There is no change in the Adv Purchase Menu, as this is innate to the base tooltip.

Things like these are why I find myself dreadfully confused way too often for my own good. The tooltips, they whisper sweet lies to me, and hurt me and let me down when I bare my heart to them...
The fact that the forums refuse to tell you how close you are to the character/post size limit until you attempt to post something that happens to be too big- and the automated spam filter will immediately completely lock you out of posting long-term if you attempt to post or edit posts too close to the character limit- is genuine agony.

This is my cry for help
