Build Checking

Hi

Just need my build to have a quick check over to see if it's alright or not since I've already settled down the frame and theme for the build, so please let me know!

The basic build of a Gunslinger/Cowgirl here, with the appropriate Passive/Specs and Tals, copy from my other Dual Pistols build, as for my powers I've gone for a focus on Bullet Hail since it's a decent AoE for basic mobs and such. I went for the Adv for this since I'll be spamming Void Powers to porc Boogeyman. (The build is almost similar to the Gunslinger itself)

Now the only snag I see in the build as of right now is the lack of either LeadTemp or TMG in the build, while I don't think it will hinder the build too much, I think it'll be more sensible to have either one of them. I think TMG might be the best here, since it is the only decent STG, but same augment can be made or Lead Tempest since it's strong it its own right too.

Since I've got a Self-Heal as a device, I am thinking I can ditch one of the Two Heals I have for either two powers. If you are wondering why the Darkness Powers, the OC works for someone who has a Arcane Bond like power, allowing her to share the powers they have.

Other then that one snag in the build, I think it should be fine, I may even replace the Self-Rez or Ult with Frag Nade/Shotgun Blast, if I really need the AP Debuff.

Yea, you'll likely want an attack like TGM in there so you have at least one decent single-target dmg power. I'd prob add something like that in (instead of taking the Ult or LT), as it's missing in either version of the build atm. And yea, the AP debuff is also nice to have (like Frag Grenade w/ adv in the 2nd version), but mainly for TGM's single-target dmg on boss fights. Targeting Computer is still prob a better dps passive here, but you can keep Composure instead if you like its other benefits. DCollapse's dmg also won't be boosted by the passive, but that's prob not a big deal here as it seems to be taken for the theme/Fear. You could also take the healing adv on the Shadows (instead of R3), but that's up to you.

So here is the edited Powers in the build:

As noted I put in TGM to atleast have a decent single-target dmg power, although besides TMG/Assault Rifle is there another decent single-target power that I can go for here? (Burst Shot Perhaps?) as both TGM/Bullet Hail are maintains, rather then a burst of high single damage that I'm looking for, other then that I think the build is fine as it is.

    Darkness Gunslinger Build

Now, I wanted to mention that while I was making this build I wanted to originally design a Darkness Gunslinger Build where the focus will be mainly on the use of Darkness Powers with some Munition Powers that can work along side the Darkness Set (Such as Bullet Hail/w It's Adv), but I avoided it at first as I didn't know how to properly build it correctly since heavy mixed builds can be rather difficult to work around.

However at first I was not entirely sure what Passive I chuold go for since there isn't many that can essentially boost both powers to some degree without gimping the build into a limp, however I gave it another shot and done the following build:

Main 3 powers are Gunslinger/Bullet Hail and Holdout Shot/w the Quarry passive since that effects Piercing Damage & Non-Piercing damage and it's the only Passive I can think of useing in this regard.

Rest of the Powers are all Darkness focused: DCollapse for porcing Fear, Shadows to upkeep the Fear /w Heal on the side & Ebon Ruin /w Adv as my main single-target dmg power, not too sure about the last power, but likely something else to up keep Fear.

As for the Form/EU I went for Chilled Form & Killer Instinct as they both will effect my powers to a degree, but I can change them if need be, Chilled Form was the only one I can find that didn't effect Key triggers (Such as Fear or Furious) but effected ALL powers, while Killer Instinct since I end up procing it quite a bit with the high cirt and with Bullet Hail.

Overall I think this is a decent build, atleast I hope it is, since this was the original intended build, either way let me know.

Specs/Tals and SS could stay as they are since are decent with the powers I picked, but I may have to replace Con with something else to help my Passive, such as Ego or Int, I think Ego here will help better, since that aims on boosting Range Damage.

Note: I do not own Shade Storm sadly, otherwise I'd gone for this power as well.

Yea, the revised 1st build of powers are okay overall. AR and TGM are indeed Muni's main single-target powers; the other powers in the set generally don't measure up for that (aside from Bullet Ballet, but that's melee and requires a bit of a different build). That said, you can use ERuin instead, if you don't mind the other build being more focused on Darkness powers, but then I'd prob just use NW as the slotted passive to boost both Bullet Hail and ER a decent amount (and NW's charge speed reduction will further help ER). I'd also switch to using Spirit Reverb as the EU, since DCollapse w/ Fear adv can easily proc it in the background, and even when using powers that aren't Darkness/Dimensional. For example:

I ended up getting a TW for my last power and put the 2 ranks into Resruge & DCollapse to help boost it's damage a bit, However I may end up going for Conviction if I need another heal source, but since I have 3, I don't think I need another. (Endo Rush/Shadows & The Device, on top of Furious)

Overall, the build is done, however as for the Gears on mostly for Dex, w/ some Rec and Con (and some cost discount on gear), will it be any different if I replace Con with Ego, to increase the Range Damage and just grab gear to improve Con on the side?

Ego SS isn't going to add that much here, since its innate ranged dmg bonus is on the DR for general dmg bonuses (so it gets much weaker as your gear/stats get better, and also as you get your toggle/form stacked), and also only gives a fraction of the return past a stat of 70 for that dmg. You could still keep it for a pretty minor dmg bonus, but imo you mine as well just stick w/ Con SS here (it'll scale up ERush's heal a bit anyways).

    Update:

Got a small qeastion to ask, can I safely try to change this build, so it uses a Pistol, rather the dual pistols we have in our power slots, or is that just not possible, without having to use another Power Tree?

Just curious is all, or is that not possible due to we don't have Single Pistol powers?

Edit: For the reason why I ask this, it's quite petty and rather stupid, but here goes: An fair point was made that, while anyone loves the "Akmbo" style from Hollywood, I've been told it's very impractical since you cannot handle the recoil of any useful Caliber.

However the same argument can be made that if skilled enough and very high training it could be possible but this is grasping at straws, trying to prove that it works in games/movies but not IRL, So I guess people can take it as they wish. like this, etc.

However since that point was made, it's been boggling my brain for a while now. (I hate how my brain works xD)

Nope. Not in Munitions. Players have been asking for some single pistol powers for years and years, only for their pleas to fall on deaf ears. Your only option is to dip into Gadeteering.
