I am talking like ones used as per medieval times or in asian fighting,
normal block, could add shield bash to cause damage when attacked while blocking
Shield rush, a movement ability can do damage and possible knock down or back
shield bash as a melee power, can add knock down
ramming shield, a build up to knock back and breakthrough could add ability to hit more than one if charging through many damaging and knocking down foes. think armadillos roll ability but with a standing shield.
Shield swipe, small arc in front hitting multiple foes possible stun, could add a fear affect or disorient affect
now you could add options like spike shield for bleeding damage or electrified shield or a deflection option for blocking to reflect part of the damage back.
