Did they remove a lot of the defensive stuff?

I logged in to check out the anniversary event and several of my people had free respecs. Looking at the abilities and such, it looks like a bunch of defensive abilities were just outright removed, like certain forcefields or defensive active abilities.

Did they rework a lot of the power sets and just not SAY anything?

Did i miss an important post or patch notes in the last month or so?
