Radiant AT - Gear and Specialization Help

tomqqtomqq Posts: 20 Arc User
Hello all, i started playing like 5 months ago due to a friend and kinda stick on and now i seek some help on my 1st character for end game setup/build recommendation.

Radiant AT
https://aesica.net/co/herocreator.htm?v=38&n=&d=P6540fVSROMN043011M000K103K305K703KA08OC00M603MG03ML03OM04MM04OR01000000000mWX2Lqj045l60000000000&e=

Currently i have around 7k+ health - 6% crit - 50% crit severity
Primary Gear is all Remarkable (Presence mods)
Secondary Gear is Cosmic Fangs Wrath(Heal mod) - OV Defence (Const/Presence mod)- Determination Utility (Const/Presence mod)

I know that some choices can be off but since its my 1st char i kinda throw stuff to test them and im planning to redo and settle in a good healing spec for endgame stuff (cosmics/Rampage and maybe try someday Eidolon)

1) Power choice
Expulse: Expel, got that cause with that leveling was nice - dont know if extra rank2/3 will get me more healing potential since the circle is too small for people to stand on it.

Circle Radiant Glory vs Sigils: kinda meh i went for Sigils for some heal and damage reduction even if they die fast in cosmic aoe instead of having to click every 10 secs the Circle not to mention if i die il be knockback away from it to benefit from the rez. Dont know if i made a bad choice

Divine Renewal: i put 3 points for group rez but i hardly use it only in some super wipe conditions and if i need that most of the time we do a reset anyways - Is it worth it to keep it or get the 3 points to something better ?

Planar Fracture: 2 points for extra 20% strength power ... tbh i was expecting some good dmg from this power but doing 300 something per tick made me think if it would be better to put the 2 points elsewhere

2) Specialization Trees

I went for Presence Mastery and it isnt bad but im thinking to change it for Sentinel Mastery cause will benefit more people with it since i use Vengeance alot.

I dont know if debuff options Vulnerability(Presence tree) and Wither (Sentinel Tree) is worth to put one point on them for some utility for the group or is kinda waste for a healer ?

Also since my critical is low 5.5% would be a good idea to remove the points from Moment of Glory (Presence Tree) which only gives 2.6% and better put some crit mods on my gear to get better results ?

3) Gear selection and mods - GSR

I dont know what is the ideal end game stats for healer on health/Critical/Crit severity but im guessing that default radiant AT will kinda be way back than FF sadly but il try to be okey ^_^

Since i can get 2 GSR items i seek some help on what would be ideal for my AT for GSR selection
Ye sure Virtuous is a healing set for sure but i was checking the Distinguished set mostly for the extra 5% crit that the Primary has on it and i was thinking that maybe that would help me raise my crit to a decent level and benefit me more in the long run. I dont know if that 38% bonus heal that Virtuous set has is so good and impacts my heals that much.

So i want some help on gear and mod setup for the endgame gear il get and what would be the best stats to aim for health/Critical/Crit severity - i guess mods rank7 is the normal but i would like to see some help on mods choice also - like get some critical mod on them or maybe severity or the mix crit/crit severity mod ?

Many thanks if you read that far

The Radiant is a very old AT that has an outdated and kinda odd build, but sadly it could be seen as the 'default' healer AT due to it being the (mainly) 'Celestial/Holy' one. Planar Fracture isn't that great of an Ult in general, so you can prioritize adv points elsewhere if you want. CoRG can be okay to have as a self-rez option over the frail sigils, but ofc a normal self-rez would be better for the AT- so it's just up to you which of the less-than-ideal options you want. If you find that you're still dying on the content that you plan to run, then you prob want to use CoRG to at least have the chance to rez w/ it, even if you may not always be in range for it when you need it.
Divine Renewal's AoE adv can be nice in some cases, but if you find that you rarely need the AoE aspect then you could just get a normal rank instead and cut down the cast time (and boost the rez health amount). I'd prob also rank up Expulse to boost the healing circle a bit, since you prob don't need the knockback adv (the circle can still be okay for clumped melee groups, at least).

Crit and severity are both pretty good to assist w/ healing output overall (can also help w/ dps, unlike w/ pure +healing bonuses), and can combo w/ Sentry's Fortified and Reinforce. Generally, the main time you could avoid crit as a healer is if you're using a crit-disabled heal like Iniquity and/or dmg shields like Protection Field (which The Radiant doesn't have). That said, the spec debuff approach w/ Vuln, Wither, and Sentinel Mastery is also very good to help boost team performance and provide some nice background healing (since you're already using Vengeance w/ the RD adv), and you could always get 1 less point in both Moment of Glory and Force of Will to get 2/2 in Vuln.

For gearing, it's kinda up to you and what you want to prioritize (maybe you want more defense and/or health to work with, maybe you want more crit for the hps and dps boost, maybe you want more bonus healing cause you find your heals to be lacking, etc). So all 3 GCR sets could be worthwhile (Distinguished is more tanky, Virtuous has more healing bonuses available, and even Justice can be fine as a dps/healer hybrid option since the Offense bonus works w/ Repurpose). Regardless, I'd prob still get at least some minor investment into crit rating and severity rating (either as mods or on the gear itself); you'd get decent return on those stats since you wouldn't be that much into their DRs atm (and the flat % bonuses from specs won't contribute to the DR).

In general, healing is more reactive and dynamic compared to something that's more number-driven (like dps), so there's not as much clear-cut advice when it comes to the role, and much of it will just come down to your own experiences and preferences. Good luck out there, regardless.

Thanks for your time and your suggestions and i will probably give a try and check some abilities to see how they perform.

Also do we know how the % healing bonus work cause i couldnt find anything about it even on the link you have on your signature with the stat data ?

Sure thing. As far as bonus healing: afaik, it may at some point have been more straightforward in increasing the base healing amount by the total %age listed, but bonus healing is generally on a DR (just as many passive dmg bonuses are on a DR). I don't know the exact formula for it now, but the more you get of it, the less effective each additional bonus will be.
