Going Green Mission Bug

You receive a mission from Chief Surhoff to go to the Desert and talk to Robert Kaufman, the director of Project Greenskin. If you go and talk to him, the mission doesn't count as finished and just stays in your mission log. Also, if you drop the mission and go back to Chief Surhoff, you don't get the extra dialogue necessary for the mission to progress.
