Can't discard Ocean Bike device

I've tried discarding the Ocean Bike vehicle device from on several characters that didn't need it, but once I hit the yes to the are you sure you want to discard it prompt nothing happens.

I've been having the same issue with a duplicate Iron Horse vehicle on one of my alts. I guess if no one has come up with a solution to this problem in a year, this is a forever problem at this point, huh?

some of the vehicle and loyal sidekick devices from event rewards have this unfortunate issue, and all we can do right now is avoid claiming those rewards on additional characters who don't want the thing. hopefully they let us throw the things away.
