Keeping the default skin on power replacers

Does anyone know how to make it to where your power replacer defaults to its original skin instead of whatever skin your powers use? I've done it by accident before, but not sure how to keep it that way, if it's possible. Basically so if I use two gun mojo, for example, the skin has regular pistols while using the device shows the laser gun skin.
