Checking Finalized Builds (Yes, they are all Ego Blades, I think I have an obsession)

So, got some builds that just need a quick checking over before I ship them out of the Power House (And sorry, I kown it's a lot here, but best is to put them all in one spot and be done with them).

Build 1 (TK Dragoon): The first build is a small change of the pervoius build that I made with the Sentinel Mastery, as it wasn't preforming as much as I needed it to, but never the less this is the change of it.

Dex/Con/End (For Stats), Basic setup for a TK Blades build, with Mental Storm for Stun/Stress debuffing, as I want as much raw DPS from TK Weapon as I can. Mental Leech for another debuffing and background heal and the Ult has been changed for more of a higher raw DPS output and debuff.

Resruge/Coniv as always for Healing/Def. I've gone for Mindful Rein, for more protection and just theme wise. (If you are curious, it's themed after a power called "Null Ward" from a Mod for X-COM)

Basics of the build is massively unchanged. However I did go for the Sentry Tree, for the extra protection BUT I may resort back to Warden to chew out as much DPS as possible.

Slot 1: Psionic Accelerator

Psi Accelerator still kept in the build for any extra debuffing and such. Echos for the extra backup and I do have a sidekick "Cultros" (Not sure if they are boosted by me or not, but hey, they are there).

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Build 2: (TK Templar)

So not much difference between the two, with the exception that this build has a more TK Blades themselves, then other the other build. Basic TK Blade built with still Resruge/Coniv as the norm.

TK Blade/w Adv, for the stress and TK Mae for the Stun/Aoe/w Heal. Ego Blade Ult and a Mind Wipe (tho I may trade it for a Rez). However I did go for Grasping Shadows, but I'm not sure how useful they might be. So this power may get replaced.

The theme behind useing Grasp Shadows is if you are curious is a in the name of the built itself, comes from the Templar's Tree " Void Conduit" (Trap a dude, heal youself). But likewise, holds don't work so well, so I will ditch this power if needed.

And the Final Build: Final build is a small take on TK Blades but with a Focus on Telepathic Powers and also a little something different with not useing the Combo Power and just strictly useing TK Frenzy.

Mental Leech, Mental Strom, Mind Drain and Mental Impact as the other powers (and yes, Mind Control Too, I know!) Still Resruge/Coniv as the norm.

Now, I'm not sure, if it be worth getting the shield in TK Frenzy over Rank 3 (I may do that) but I gone for R3 for DPS wise.

For all three builds: TK Reverb scales more w/ Rec than w/ End, so I would prov siwtch End SS to Rec SS. Also, I'd prob use any two free adv points towards getting R2 of Resurgence.

The first build isn't going to get that much mileage from Mindful Reinforcement and Sentry spec, although there's still some potential benefit to keeping them (at least MR is a kind of way to heal/shield allies too). Outside of those things, the build looks okay enough for the theme (I assume you are getting MStorm's special adv, since its not on the planner).

For the 2nd build, Grasping Shadows indeed won't hold up to inc dmg that well, but at least it does provide an extra heal and DoT via its advs. So if you like the Grasping Shadows enough for the theme, then I guess you can keep it.

For the 3rd build, EBFrenzy isn't as ideal for single-targets as Ego Weaponry is, but I suppose you can still make it work as your main ELeech builder there.

Ah, I see, I'll switch to Rec SS, I thought I chuold get away with useing End, as it seems to give more Max Energy, but I will switch. As for the free adv points, yes I'll likely end up putting them into Resruge.

Yeah, I may switch to getting Warden on the first build out-right for more DPS, but MR is there for just Theme Sake. (Better then mind control after all). And yes, I'll be getting the Adv for it, I placed it on R3, due to it's not on the planner yet.

As for the first build, glad to hear it!.

Humm, IIRC, I recall that Holds don't do much after a certain mob level, is that correct?, if so then yes, I'll likely ditch this power, even if it's for theme.

Yeah, not as ideal as say Ego Weapon, but that was my game plan for ELeech Builder, while my single-target damage will be mostly focused on EBA (Ego Blade Annihilation).

And hey, my forum name changed! (This was my normal name I go by, but only today I was able to find out how to change it!)

Well, higher-ranked enemies can be more resistant, but trash mobs can still be affected by CC (bosses are generally & mostly CC-immune).

Okay, but you'll still want at least 1x stack of ELeech before using charged EBA, else it won't proc the toggle/form and EU on its own.

Of course, can't use EBA without good damage either :p

  • So small changes on the finalized builds:

    Build 2: Templar

I've shifted a few powers around and ditched the Shadow Bind power, as it had quite a big charge up and wasn't doing much for me, switched to Electric Shield and Dash for flair sake and still kept in EBA and TK Mael but I also went for TK Shards, to keep up the stress and spam heal, made TK Mael stronger due to that for quick burst dps.

    The rest has been unchanged.

    Build 1: Dragoon

So the smallest change here was that I've ditched Mental Storm and just placed the Stress/Adv on the Ego Weapons themselfs, as I find it much easier to porc-it , then having to remaber or wait for the small cooldown for MD.

Last power, I have zero clue, but I'll think of something, but as this is more of a Psi Blades, but with Telepathic as a background, I might for something like Shadow of Doubt/Summon Nightmare.

Although I'm not sure of the full difference between SoD and ML, as they seem to be the same powers with minor differences.

For the 1st build, you don't really need the Impaled adv on TK Shards, since Ego Weaponry w/ adv easily puts up Stress as is. The rest of the 1st build (and the 2nd build) look okay.
Although I'm not sure of the full difference between SoD and ML, as they seem to be the same powers with minor differences.
SoD is more about lowering the target's dmg a bit, while MLeech has its pretty nice background healing that builds up. Of the two, I'd usually take ML. SoD can still be useful, though, and it's just up to you on what to put in that slot.

Ah, I may remove Shards then and thanks for the little info o7

Edit: Noticed a small mistake in there too, with the Innate Tel, but fixed that now, with more Focus on Rec. ended up sticking with both MLeech and SoD, as they are both handy to have. Corrected this on the other build too.

Yea, that edit of the build looks okay overall, considering the concept. You may still want to consider replacing Sentry spec w/ Warden, since you're also replying on a basic combo as your main AoE. But I'll leave that choice up to you, as it can still work as is.

So, going back to the "Templar" here for just a sec: I've made some minor changes to the TK build, I've gone back with Warden Spec, over Sentry as it wasn't doing too much as I had hoped. I also swapped the TP around as well, to something I recently got.

I may look into getting something else over Mindful Reinforcement as while it's useful to protect myself, I may wish to get something that'll help me in the longer run too.

That build edit looks pretty decent overall. And yea, you may want to replace MR w/ something else. It'll kinda just depend on what other functionality you want to add to it, like a threat wipe, a self-res, an ally-res, a CC power, or a wider AoE (like EBFrenzy w/ shield advm or taps of TK Eruption w/ its advs), etc.
