Catacomb Kid - Claws and Necromancy help

xaqchancexaqchance Posts: 52 Arc User
I'd like to start with a thank you! I'm not great at builds as I tend to go too thematic and tend to accidentally ignore important synergies. I found some builds posted by a username Criswolf09 (credit where due) on a different forum and did my best to combine them. One was a somewhat tanky Grim Reaper/Necromancer and the other was a Fighting Claws DPS.

I'm thinking the Catacomb Kid is an explorer of sorts, urban and otherwise. Because he's a "kid", he's interested in sports and more specifically martial arts, which I thought I could represent by imaginary claws (with the option for claws depending on the costume). And then within the various catacombs the Kid finds different relics that grant him powers, like summoning ghosts and undead.

So, this is my attempt at bringing this concept to life and I would very much appreciate any advice or corrections on the build.

Yea, the build is a bit odd, but can still be made to work fine. If using BCR/RR + Masterful Dodge, then you'll need MD at R2 for it to get you past 100% dodge when using R3 WotW as the passive. I'd also have a source of Dragon's Rush in there, to help w/ energy when using DC and Bladed Cyclone. You can use Dragon Kick for Rush and as a decent pbAoE + AoE stun. Here's an example edit of it:

For single-target dps, it can use VFangs to put up and refresh Shredded, charged DK to put up Rush, and charged DC as its main attack. Bladed Cyclone can rope in enemies in a wider AoE, while charged DK and/or VFangs can be used as AoE on enemies that are clumped up. The pets can be thrown in as you like. Gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Con (and some cost discount on gear).

I appreciate your feedback! It really helped me pull together the theme. It sounds like Bladed Cyclone isn't super essential to the build and I'm glad to hear that. The chains don't exactly fit the theme. I'd placed it there before actually testing the build and didn't know it was a chain. I thought it was like the dual swords or psionic move where blades are swung in front of the toon (I've been gone after about 2 years or so). I was thinking about placing another summon. Right now I have Warlock's Blades, but if there's something that fits the build or theme better, I'm open to it. I was also thinking Gas Pellets as it fits with the smoke powers.

Well, you could use Sword Cyclone from DB instead of Bladed Cyclone, since it also has a AoE pull-in adv, but it's also not essential if you already have DK and VFangs as AoE. Another summon power or Gas Pellets could be okay, as could most other powers, since the build has the basics covered already. You can always leave that power slot and its advs to be trained last if you want to experiment around w/ it, as then re-training it will be pretty cheap.
