Gadgeteering DPS... Is it possible?

So I am completing the idea for a new alt that is the last of my technology heroes and I was wondering what powers use that aren't in ATs. I 'd like to make a Pulse beam riffle beam with quantum stabilizer as the passive and have pets except attack toys, oh and some non toggle power armor powers. Any advice is welcome and thanks in advance.

Yea, it's possible. Its single-target dps won't be as high as other sets atm, but it should still be fine for most things- esp if throwing in Chest Beam for Burn Through (which counts as non-slotted PA anyways). Targeting Computer would be a better dps passive for Ranged Tech, though, so I'd prob recommend that instead of Quantum Stabilizer. I usually wouldn't suggest pet powers, but I guess you could throw one in there and just not worry about it on content that isn't pet-friendly. Here's an example build:

The open power slots can be used for w/e ya want.

PBR is your main single-target attack, while Sonic Boom Generator is your main AoE. Taps of Chest Beam can put up Burn Through for PBR, and Particle Wave can help group up mobs in front of you for follow-up AoE. Particle Wave and Chest Beam can also proc Unified Theory. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and End.

An Int-focus could also work here (using Int PSS, or Ego PSS w/ Int SS and 3/3 in 6th Sense, or Dex PSS w/ Int SS). Dex SS could also be taken for some more %crit when using Ego or Int PSS (prob instead of Con SS).
