Viper Rocket Pack to Viper Rocket JET PACK travel power reskeleton

Pretty much what it says on the tin...been wondering about this since the Jet Pack TP came out, and found that the viper rocket pack -didn't- work with the Jet Pack Travel Power.
So, out of curiosity, how hard would it be to reskeleton the Viper Rocket Back Pack to work with the Jet Pack TP (figure kinda like the Candy Cane jet pack does)?
If it's a "sixty second slap in" great, please do, if it's one of those crazy things that would require completely rebuilding the base engine due to some crazy piece of "oh <bleep> tape that section down and pray" code...*sigh*
