I know mixing melee and ranged isn't ideal, but is it possible to have a functional build focusing on Heavy Weapons with the Lance weapon skin, and mixing in the TK Lance powers?
I say depends on what would be used most, the TK Lance can be a pull attack as example while rest is focused on Melee attacks. Nigh Warrior I guess, so both do good damage if you like or focus Passive on the melee aspect as well.
I see such mostly as utility and fashion, min max build I am not a fan of honestly and I not do heavy end content stuff anyway. As long the main build is solid I say it can work.
I got a Dual Blade as example with Darkness mixed in as utility, the small self-heal and pull of it like Soul Vortex. Not going to post it now since not what you look for but example wise simply.
Yea, there's not really synergy between HW and ranged TK, esp since TK Lance (and Lance Rain) ideally takes Ego Leech stacks to use, and those have to be built up by using other TK powers pretty regularly. Skewer has a lance-like stabbing animation, at least, so you could use that from HW.
I suppose you could combo TKL w/ something like TK Maelstrom, which can quickly give you Ego Leech stacks at least in AoE when hitting multiple mobs/objects, using the EL stacks on TKL for a bit of ranged burst, and otherwise mostly just playing as a melee/HW build. Energy will still prob be an issue there, though, but that can be mitigated by the fact that you wouldn't be using those powers as often. Here's an example build for it:
Not an early leveling build ofc, but you could take something like Cleave early on and train out of it later. The last 1-2 powers can be w/e ya want.
I took Iron Lariat here so you can tap it to quickly apply CFlames, and to help w/ energy when using the TK Maelstrom + TKL combo (since it can be used from a bit further out than normal melee range). Iron Lariat can also be used in melee to put up CFlames when using the HW stuff, and it can also help heal you a bit. Arc of Ruin can apply No Quarter and refresh both No Quarter and CFlames on tap, while also being your main melee AoE (you could trade the Wildfire adv for R2 and use the Lariat to refresh CFlames, but it's up to you). Skewer is your main single-target attack here, between keeping up No Quarter and CFlames. Gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Con and End (and some extra cost discount on gear).
You could use NW here as the dps passive instead (w/ some re-arranging of the powers), and you don't necc need to use the Sneak-related stuff for it to work fine.
