i was going to go darkness, but i think they boogeyman would be at home in the dark. I have a Jason Vorhees Mask, and the chainsaw, but thats kinda a rip off.

Okay these are all quite different builds. Since I'd rather just settle on giving one build, do you still want something for the last idea w/ Supernatural?

Okay, well here's a simple Darkness dps build that you can edit to your liking:

(Unnamed Build) - Freeform (Ranged Damage)
    v3.44:36

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Ego (Primary)
    Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)
    Level 15: Constitution (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Scourge (Con: 10, Ego: 10, Rec: 10, End: 8)
    Level 6: Worldly (Ego: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 9: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
Level 12: Amazing Stamina (Rec: 5, End: 5)
    Level 15: Daredevil (Ego: 5, End: 5)
    Level 18: Ascetic (Con: 5, Ego: 5)
Level 21: Boundless Reserves (Con: 5, End: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Shadow Bolt
Level 1: Shadow Blast (Rank 2, Devoid)
Level 6: Shadow Form (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Chilled Form
    Level 11: Spirit Reverberation
Level 14: Shadow Embrace (Rank 2, Draining Shadows)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Ebon Ruin (Rank 2, Nyctophobia)
    Level 23: Resurgence (Rank 2)
Level 26: Summon Shadows (Rank 2, Devouring Darkness)
Level 29: Ebon Void (Rank 2)
    Level 32:
    Level 35:
    Level 38:
    Adv. Points: 28/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Ego: Force of Will (2/2)
    Ego: Insight (3/3)
    Ego: Follow Through (3/3)
    Ego: Sixth Sense (2/3)
    Avenger: Ruthless (2/2)
    Avenger: Round 'em Up (3/3)
    Avenger: Relentless Assault (2/3)
    Avenger: Preemptive Strike (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

The open power slots can be w/e ya want.

For AoE, it mostly just uses SEmbrace, while it alternates between SBlast and ERuin for single-target dps. The Summon Shadows can be thrown in for some extra damage, distraction, and background healing. The build should be pretty easy to use overall. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and Rec.

Flow, just curious: Was this build meant to have two active healing powers? (Conviction and Resurgence)

Eh, a bit weird to necro this thread to ask that.

Regardless, it's often a good idea to include an Active Defense (AD) in a build. It's usually going to be Resurgence these days, since it's so strong now, but other ADs can provide mitigation options (since Resurgence is a heal, and not an actual mitigation cd). I also often include at least one power that can provide self-healing on a relatively short cd (like Conviction), though this isn't typically as important to include, depending on your own goals, resources, and/or in-game experience.
