Shooting down my own suggestion cause even I don't think it is possible with the engine as it is. The engine itself would need to be overhauled for my wish. But, still, I think it would be fun to share my wish despite the fact it will never be.
My wish, is very complicated, and for us that love the current Tailor and love making costumes, this wish would kill our social lives...if you have one that is.
The upgrades to the tailor I envision would change only a few things, but, in massive ways. Let's start with the 1st one.
1: Improving the color selections. Many times, I'm using a costume piece and find myself thinking "Why is that part tied to the same color as that part? And why are those colors not used? And why is the only used color the last slot?". I'm positive that at least a few of you have also thought those questions. So, the change I would like on this would make it so that parts could have more than just 4 color selections, I could see up to 8 if such a piece could warrant that. But, for pieces that only have 1, 2, or 3 actual colors being used, I would see that in the color select panel, there would only be three color boxes to change. In short, the system would recognize each piece individually and thus change the color selection boxes as needed.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt the engine can even do such a thing with out requiring more memory than needed, nor do I think the engine could actually support such a change.
Now, my second idea for my little wishful Tailor overhaul is even more complicated than the 1st one. And, due to that, I doubt it is even possible without an extensive overhaul to the engine. So, let's get to it.
2: Instead of linking the texture to the whole costume part, each selectable color would have textures tied to them instead. This would allow us to mix and match textures as we please. So, you could have one part of that armor be metal, another ice, and another cloth.
And really, that is all there is to my wish. But, the engine is the biggest hurdle to this wish really. So, I just felt like sharing it. Don't ever think we'd see something like this.
