Unarmed DPS build with some energy blast

I was hoping someone could come up with a build that's mostly unarmed martial arts with maybe one energy blast for theme. (I don't like elbow slam). I was thinking chest beam or force cascade as the energy blast. Build concept something along the lines of the Japanese anime Guyver or Ultraman.

    Force Cascade I'd avoid cause of the scatter KB and extreme energy cost. You could settle on Open Palm Strike's pseudo-ranged status if you want a 'blast' that still works w/in Unarmed. Here's a simple example build:

    TKicks can put up Demolish, while DU is the main single-target attack. DK can be the main AoE (and it CCs), while Palm Strike can be used for theme and to clump up enemies sometimes. I tried to make some of the less essential powers more broadly energy themed so its not just a normal UA build overall. Gears mostly for Dex, w/ some Con and Rec.

    Chest beam could be nice for the crushing debuff.

    Yea, Chest Beam could be added to tap for upping the build's sustained dmg, though I wouldn't really use it for more than that here, since it won't proc something like FotM and MA's EUs (unless you wanted to change other things about the build).

    Would swapping out dragon rush for rank 3 on dragon uppercut make much difference in dps?

    You can do that; you'd likely have to stick in charged DK for Rush to keep spamming DU, but that could work too.

    If Energy is an issue you could replace Con with Rec and then any knock you do will generate more energy via Unstoppable. Should also provide more energy when you block.

    If you don't need the self rez you could swap in Masterful Dodge.
