Akimbo Gunslinger

Hi All

So been a while last I was making a build, well here I am once more. This build is more focused around a Akimbo Gunslinger (Dual-Pistols), with a mix of Tech. Build will be DPS aimed, but will have some tankishness. For thame wise I plan to it be focused around Mesa (From Warframe) and XCOM 2.

So Following Powers:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29nFicujxn4 (Mesa)

Shatter Shield: Field Surge is pretty much the most fitting (as Unbreakables cooldown is too much)
Pacemaker: Lead Tempest/Showdown/Bullet Hail/Gunslinger
Shooting Gal & Ballistic Bat: ????

XCOM 2 Frags:

Flash Frag:Concussion Grenade (With stun)
Fire Frag: Incendiary Grenade (with Adv)

XCOM 2 Class: http://iridar.net/xcom2/akimbo-class-perks/

Checkmate: Execution Shot
Electrified Spikes: Pistol Whip

As for the rest, I'll moreless need a good Heal as well and some sort of AO (I have a Passive & Form Buff sorted)

Mock-up build below.

(try to include the build's link next time too, for convenience)

Anyways, Field Surge is not great AD unless you are using PFF. It has the same cd as Unbreakable, so you mine as well just take the latter for the concept. Bullet Hail and Lead Tempest are also a bit redundant; I'd replace one w/ TGM so you have a good single-target attack. I would prob also replace Incendiary grenade w/ Frag Grenade, cause the latter works better w/ Piercing dmg.

    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (2/3)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

Not an early leveling build, but you can use something like Burst Shot or Bullet Hail early on and train out of it later.

Tried to keep most of the stuff in there, though for practical purposes I had to cut some of it. Composure is more defensive than Targeting Comp for the passive, but TC is also considerably better for dps. You can get a pretty tanky backbone w/ Ego PSS's Force of Will, Con SS, and Guardicator (or Wardicator, or Guardian+Warden), plus some self-heals, LT's special adv, and the AoE stun grenade for CC. Gears mostly for Ego, w/ some Con and Rec (and crit rating and severity on gear).

Hey sorry for the delay and oh I forgot the link?, whoops my bad lol!

So, first of all, thanks for the build I've looked into it (As a reminder all my builds are rank 40)

Before I do show the edit of my build how much DPS will I be giveing up if I picked PFF? (over TC), will I be able to backbone the same as of tankingness?. (Just wondering, I'll likely be going this DPS backbone tanking root however)

    Anywho here is the re-edit:

I'll give up the pistol whip, as it's pretty much redundant. I kept most of your build in here: Minus I replaced Unbreakable with IDF as a 1min cooldown for only around 15sec of protection is pretty meh (IFD also fits the thame) I put back Exe-Shot in for Serum. (Not really a support role, if there is a device that can I do it, I'll grab it)

got the normal Conc/Killer Intc as needed.

IDF is a toggle/form just like Concentration, so you can't have both up at the same time (I would pick Conc over IDF in most cases anyways). I'd rather you keep a weaker AD like Field Surge for theme than use IDF, if that's important to you (though given one AD's low uptime, the theme of it shouldn't matter too much overall imo).

As far as taking PFF- you'd lose a pretty large amount of dps for the boost to survival, since you'd have to use the Hybrid role (~25% less ranged dmg than the ranged dps role) and lose TC's dps bonuses.

I'll toy around with the both, I don't wanna give up Conc due to how handy it is and for DPS and such. see what fits and such. tho I am pretty sure there is a way too boost the cooldown with a passive (hopefully?)

I'm a bit confused by the wording here, but I assume by "cooldown" you are referring to that of the AD (like Field Surge). CD reduction can be had via the same stat in Utility gear, though other sources of it are via Int (you aren't making an Int setup, though, and I usually wouldn't gear for it if its not an SS), Nanobot Swarm (takes another power slot), or a passive like AoAC (which I wouldn't really recommend here anyways). I prob wouldn't worry too much about the cd on the AD; just get some cd reduction in utility gear and that's fine.

If you want something akin to Field Surge w/o a cd, you could get Protection Field. It'll still be kinda weak to throw up as a non-Support (and cause the dmg shield doesn't factor in your defense, it'll deplete faster than you think), and it does take a bit of energy to use.

The latest build looks pretty good overall. I'm still a bit iffy on having Execution Shot in the build, just cause it melee-range, but if its for the concept then its okay. Otherwise, the only other things to consider are having 2 more adv points to rank your most-used travel power, and/or ranking up Force Shield.

Yeah it's for thame wise, and I guess if mobs do get into line of sight at Melee-range I can take care of them.

I;ll see what I will do with the Adv points
