  • Personally I'm poor and I understand not being able to afford a good rig, but i dont think we shouls have neat things removed because it lags people, that is why we have option to lower graphics, its not as bad but in a way its like saying "lets remove cosmics cuz a few peoples internet or pc cant handle them"

Although at the same time i can see your side, it could make the game more playable for everyone even those who cant afford a gud pc, so everyone gets to play

Also I think he is trying to say that often we get changes because a few players in forum said x and y things, even though those few players don't represent the entire game community. Like when one kid in class tells the teacher he doesnt like the air coniditioner on, so the teacher turns it off for everyone? I dunno, I'm just guessing here.

Meanwhile, Force Cascade's Form Lockout timer has been bugged for over 4 years. I guess those wings were soooo much more important. :(

Considering people have solved this issue by just taking Quarry or NW for years now? Yeah, the wing thing was more important since there was no easy player-side fix.

That is what he's saying, and he's wrong. In fact, I'd venture to say that no change to the game has ever been made as a response to player complaints.

Here is one brief complaint thread about it from early this year:
    https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/championsonline#/discussion/1210450/shadow-wings-r2-is-unoptimized-and-aesthetically-obtrusive

Using the search function and that is all I was able to find, and I hardly think this single topic is the sole reason the devs decided to make this change.

I mean Just imagine if that is all it took to get things done around here...

    Hey guys.
When the giant growth nerf came around a certain individual flooded the release notes with his complains till kaiserin had to wipe the thread after 6 pages and asked to create a topic and keep the discussion contained within it.
Can we skip ahead to the create a topic and keep the discussion contained within it?
There are other issues people are trying to report related to the latest patch that are getting lost within all the shadow wing discussion

I might cross post this in bugs too just to make sure this gets known. There are several issues with the Nighthawk Event, at least the Franklin Stone alert.

Queueing for it is odd. As soon as you hit ready you get in, not when all five checkmarks appear and a ten second countdown. Also in the alert itself, players are not sidekicked to any particular level. This in itself causes a major issue that I’ll bring up in a moment. Franklin Stone himself is level 30 and not skull level. This means lower level players are doing far less damage to him compared to level 40 players. Was this alert intended to have everyone sidekicked to level 30? This can make the alert very hard if not almost impossible to win if there are multiple low level players in it. By comparison, the Anniversary Event had the Mega Ds changed from level 60 to skull level so players of any level could have a fair chance.

There are also a couple of really minor bugs. At the beginning of the long cutscene when you confront Franklin Stone, there’s a voice line of “You got it” played. It’s the same one from Thick as Thieves and seems really out of place, almost as if it were there by mistake. Also the scoring at the end of the alert is really buggy. Players can often get 0, 1, or 2 points even from doing a lot of damage. At least this seems to have no effect on rewards or completing the daily mission.

Actually all of the thug quotes from that sequence are reused audio clips from other missions. "Hands up" I think shows up either in Aftershock or Resistance. This is probably intentional since they didn't intend to record extra lines for thugs in an event that pops up 2 or 3 times a year.

Also dunno if it was posted but

    BUG
Hyper Wing Bracer does not let you choose materials outside of Brushed Metal, Cloth, Leather and Metal on male toons. Female toons work fine.

Something that may help with the Arc of Ruin case.

    ff5656dfc4ccc42741f657e367bcacf3.png

In this description, Arc of Ruin is shown as both requiring something within 10 feet as well as the 10 feet Sphere AoE that supposedly makes it a PBAoE. Checking with other PBAoEs, they only list the Sphere area, as opposed to both it and the additional condition. I'm not sure why this would make it only affect targets in front of the user, maybe some sort of weird targeting arc-like condition is also sneaking around?

In any case, I just found it odd that Arc of Ruin lists the two conditions as opposed to just having the 10 feet sphere. Figured it might help.

Bonus Edit: The description also says "Deals Crushing damage to targets in front of you." That can probably do with an update to reflect what it is supposed to be doing.
I'm starting to wonder if the bug is that it's a 10' sphere that's NOT centered on the player.

I had this theory too, so I went and tested it, and Arc of Ruin can hit enemies in front of you from beyond 10 feet, in fact it looks to be exactly 20ft, so this does appear to be the case.

It's fixed on pts tho o3o

LMAO, this would make an interesting flashy new power, I now imagine Arc of Ruin releasing a huge Light-Fire Sphere in front of you

A fire attack like Force cascade could be nice!

There are several sets which could do with a Force Eruption type power; tab target and Boom, mini AoE not based on the player. Not sure Heavy Weapons is one of those sets, though, unless there's an animation of the player hurling their Axe through the air, Thor style.

Flashfire Pit should now persist if the primary target is defeated.

    Bug
When you kill Qular fire bugs or enemies that disappears inmediately after they die, the fire patch dissapears.
