Berserker/ Rager

Hey there!

I have this build that I used from other forums and wanted to see if this could work as a tank. Background, as the title says, is a berserker/ rager from chemicals that heroes come across in Westside with Belligerents. Let me know what you think. I put Headbutt in there because he has a background in wrestling.

You could get a normal rank of something else if you took a rank from the 2nd travel power. There's also no block enhancer here, and the only AoE is the last hit of Defense Combo and UR (which is on a cd). You also need to fill in the rest of the talents.

The build could work as is, I suppose, but how practical it is will depend on the content being run.

Well, you lost Demolish's debuff, but maybe what you could do instead is use Arc of Ruin in HW (esp if you have the invis weapon skins). Arc can double as an AoE and a Crushing debuff (even if tapped). You can prob de-rank Defensive Combo to free up adv points to fully rank Arc.

I don’t have the invisible skins unfortunately. What about an utility like Sonic Device? I’ve seen some tanks have those on the side.

Sonic Device? Eh, there's other things you could put in a tank build that could be more useful than a longer-cd stun w/ some dmg attached. You don't have to have a debuff power as a tank; it is good for helping dps and threat gen- but what content do you plan on tanking?

More of an rp approach, but occasionally run alerts, cosmic, etc. The game offers very little. Haha

Well, I'd prob still get a spammable AoE to clear trash then. Up to you if you want to stick to Might for that- I guess Havoc Stomp could work and fits the theme, even if its not a stellar AoE.

So I edited the build to STR/CON/END. I read in a earlier post on great aoes and Lacerating Cyclone was pretty good with the Vortex adv, but it's pretty costly. I added END to it and it seemed to work ok, but I'm sure better gear could make it better. What are your thoughts on this build?

Oh! I meant to change Lacerating and add Iron Cyclone. My bad.

Yea, Iron Cyclone w/ adv is nice for Might. At least it allows you to group up enemies a bit, even if its dps isn't great. Can put the floater 1 adv point in the 2nd travel power, if you want. Getting some cost discount on gear can also help w/ energy. You could also replace Rebirth w/ something like a lunge if you want a quick & cheap MSA trigger.
