No More Power Emanation Choice?!

The title spells out everything but I just want to point out that power emanations is something of the past since most of the new powers doesn't have any power emanation choice. Soul beam used to be able to choose where the powers emanates from but it wasn't fix and was removed from the power. So is it the thing of the past?

    For some powers, most likely, for others, no. But, who knows what the future holds.
