I just made a very cute (At least I think she is cute) and she is 90' tech style, so I would say she is a primary dps / little bit support (well if healing drone counts)
I really like Sonic Blaster and Pulse beam rifle those 2 skills and may have healing drone as support? but I also know healing drone will increase energy spend and reduce my energy gain. I don't really know if that skill really worth to use or there is a way that I can keep using healing drone and also have enough energy to do damage. Please help me.

I'm not allowed to post a new topic, since i'm new. This is the freeform build i'm currently using. I hate Experimental Burst Ray, not sure what to replace it with. I'm looking for more pets. Here's the powers I've chosen so far:
Powers:
1) Sonic Blaster 1) Mind Break 6) Medical Nanites 8) Bionic Shielding 11) Support Drones 14) Concentration 17) Munitions Bots 21) Experimental Burst Ray 25) Attack Toys 30) Summon Nightmare 35) 40)
I barely use concentration as well. Thoughts on what I should add for lvls 35 and 40 ?
thanks for the hero creator link. I would post the build but I haven't been around long enough to post links. Anyways my character name is 80s Man. He has the ability to transform into any 80s cartoon characters. Right now the build is centered around the 80s Star Trek cartoon. I need help with specializations, and options for the remaining power choices. Thanks in advance.
Since you're new: you don't really 'use' a toggle/form like Concentration, as much as its a passive effect that you charge once to turn on (you can look at your buffs to see if its 'on' or not- there should be a general buff related to the form, and another buff that stacks upto 8 times). You should not be charging it repeatedly, as that means you are manually canceling and re-applying the buff, which is a big waste of time and is lost dmg. Generally, you only need to re-activate your toggle if you've died and resed, as you'll lose your buffs then (or if you accidentally hit its hotkey and turned it off by mistake).
As for AoE in Gadgeteering, its kinda iffy- unless you're okay w/ throwing boomerangs. Sonic Boom Generator is okay if you don't like Burst Ray's narrow cone. Pet builds are also generally not great outside of casual content, but for being new they can be fine for what you're doing. My build above for this old thread is a good start if you want a dps-focused Gadgeteering build. If you want to use Med Nanites and the Hybrid role, and use some pets, you could try this sort of variant:
Taps of Thunderstrike can proc Molec Self-Assmbly (MSA) for extra energy, and gives you another self-heal. Conviction and Summon Shadows can also proc MSA when they come off cd. Main single-target attack here is channeling PBR; main AoE is Sonic Boom Gen. If some of your pets die, you can just re-summon them pretty quickly thanks to Rapid Response in Commander. Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Dex.
The build export looks a bit weird if it came from the HeroCreator. Anyways, that build is a bit of a mess- not that I necc blame a newer player for that, as the FF system is a very complex thing to just dive into. A quick review, to highlight what I mean - You: took >1 slotted passive when you can only use one at a time (Med Nanites and PFF, and neither slotted passive is ranked here), ranked the low-dps energy builder (at lower levels you use it more out of necessity, but at high levels you should rarely be using it), don't have a spam-able AoE attack (to make clearing trash faster), included some iffy attack choices (like Mind Break, Collective Will, and Tractor Beam), didn't rank your main self-heal (though I may take a diff one that Bionic Shielding), took Con PSS as a non-tank, don't have an Energy Unlock power, didn't rank the block enhancer, don't have an Active Defense and/or self-res, took some odd spec choices in Arbiter and Avenger, and had some other iffy choices with your advantage points.
Even though solo PvE content is generally easy enough either way (so the build could still 'work', to a degree), at this point, I'd almost rather suggest you follow my or some other vet's builds and maybe tweak 1-2 of the powers or their ordering to suit your liking - as an easier first step. You could also play w/ some ATs to get a feel for their powers and how they've been built around.
The other option is for you to give us a short list of powers/attacks that you think you'd most like to use, and then we can try to make a more efficient build centered around those powers. But then I wouldn't recommend trying to change what is given to you too much. Either way, if you have any questions about how to use certain builds or powers, or why some things are taken as they are, then you can always ask.
Ok, I had another look at the build. I chose Constitution as my primary, because it makes me feel a lot less squishy. As for Mind Break, I love this power, I think of it as my Photon Torpedoes. As for Sonic Blaster i'm not sure ranking it out was worthwhile, but I find I use it a lot solo. I only just started teaming. Bionic Shielding, I find doesn't do much, that's why I haven't put any advantage points into it. I've removed Tractor Beam, Summon Nightmare, Collective Will, Orbital Cannon, and Personal Force Field. Remember that i'm RP'ing this character as a Starfleet Captain. The build now looks like this:
Powers:
1) Sonic Blaster
1) Mind Break
6) Medical Nanites
8) Bionic Shielding
11) Support Drones
14) Concentration
17) Munitions Bots
20)
23) Attack Toys
26)
29)
32)
35) Energy Shield
38)
So I now have some powers options, what do you think I should add ?
Well, if its modeled after Star Trek, then I imagine your main attacks would be w/ a blaster pistol, not a Telepathy mind blast. Experimental Blaster would seem the most fitting then, yea? Could exchange Pulse Beam Rifle in my build for that. And yea, you shouldn't be relying on the energy builder much, since its very low dps. Again, you'll likely be using it more at lower levels cause you'll have more energy issues then, but even then ranking it isn't a priority, and at high levels the goal is to be good on energy w/o using it.
As far as being tankier- you can generally still do that just by taking Constitution (Con) as a secondary SS instead, and making sure you have good self-heals and/or ADs like rank2 Resurgence or rank1 Masterful Dodge. Learning to block well also helps. You already have a defense-oriented passive like Med Nanites anyways, so taking Con PSS on top means you miss out on a good deal of dps. I'd prob just use Conviction as your normal self-heal, since its rather theme-neutral and is straightforward to use, and it can work w/ Molecular Self-Assembly (MSA) as the energy unlock.
The wiki link can give you some basic stat info for their innate effects, but generally when it comes to gearing you want the main stat focus to be w/e stat scales up your form/toggle (unless you're making a proper group tank, then Con is your main stat usually, and the toggle one is secondary). In this case, Concentration (Conc) scales w/ either Ego or Int, so you'd chose one of those. You also usually (though not always) want to have a minor focus on whatever stat scales up your energy unlock. Since MSA also scales w/ Int, it can be convenient to focus on Int here, and use a INT/Con/Dex SS setup for a mix of dps and higher maxHP. An Ego-focus could still work, though, and then I may take an EGO/Int/Con SS setup if using MSA. There are other options too, as dps builds can gear, stat, and spec in many ways to reach similar general outcomes.
If you want to keep a telepathic power like Mind Break, then I may use one of Telepathy's cd-based DoTs instead, since they can offer some pretty nice debuffs and can proc MSA. Mental Leech, Shadow of Doubt, and/or Mental Storm are the main options there. You won't have many free slots if you want to make a pet-based build, but even just one of those can be fit in. Example:
Some of the powers could be re-ordered, but you have most of your main attacks before lvl 20 here, and most of the rest are to supplement your survival and give you an array of pets. Taps of Exp Blaster w/ the Death Ray adv can be your main single-target filler, though you'll need to charge it at least half-way to proc Concentration if the enemy is w/in 25ft of you. Sonic Boom Gen can help you AoE, and Mental Leech can roll MSA for extra energy. The other pets are permanent ones, but Summon Shadows can also be used as a dps-boosting pet that also heals you a bit, when its cd is available. Gears mostly for Int, w/ some Con and Dex.

I also have a question, so this build is physical dmg or non physical ?
Physical is: Slashing, Crushing, and Piercing. Everything else is technically 'Non-Physical'.
