Game Crash on alt+tab

Whenever I have the game running and I switch to another application that is full screen or not a browser even, Champions Online crashes.
No other programs do this.

The crash is related to DirectX apparently, though I have the newest version.

Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned errorcode D3DERR_INVALIDCALL while creating a texture.
Technical details: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL while creating 2D texture size 160x18 (1 mips, RTEX_BGRA_U8), 7.52 GB RAM, 1.55GB virtual space available

This is not a casual problem: it happens every single time.

I just run in Windowed Borderless. You get all the perks of Fullscreen and the flexibility of a Windowed program. It won't solve the issue, but I think it makes a good way to avoid it. Based on the error you're getting and the way you're getting it to crash I would guess it has to do with trying to render everything again after coming back to the window. So, my thinking is you just don't force the game to minimize any as a workaround.

Just be sure that when you go you go into the Options tab and under Troubleshooting find the Reduce CPU use when Inactive option and be sure it's on. That way when you alt-tab or bring up another window CO will try to use less resources.

Yeah, been like that for a long time. Better to click the minimize tab on the upper right when you need to jump to the desktop. Haven't experienced a crash using that (although it's no guarantee).

Running the game in Windowed Borderless should fix the problem.
