Weird political question

Why do liberals, and especially feminists catch all the heat for stuff like censorship and the youtube adpocalypse where having swears now means you can't make money anymore. Did people forget that the conservative religious purity police still push that mindset? It almost feels like people are pointing and blaming at something, while the actual cause for it is rising up behind them.

Interesting question, but it seems to be assuming a single cause for what is actually multiple problems.

It's because people wanting change are always in the wrong until they achieve change and then everyone was on their side from the start. People pretty much said the same things about feminists back when the were just looking to be recognized as persons under the law as they do today for wanting equal pay and opportunity. Everyone is behind Martian Luther King and Mohammad Ali today but back when they were politically active people treated them far worse then they're treating Colin Kaepernick because being overtly racist back then was still pretty normal. However I think Markhawkman is right, the YouTube ad Apocalypse was caused by multiple sources, maybe it's more attributable to YouTube's rising star PewDiePie making Nazi jokes then anything in any of the political channels, but as I said earlier people like to throw blame at stuff they're not comfortable with and people just aren't comfortable with people protesting against the status quo.

The question isn't primarily about youtube, it's more about how the "muh free speech, don't censor muh potty mouth!" people are rallying alongside the people who actively want to censor their potty mouth. Youtube just happens to be a recent example but is by no means the only one. Another example would be how those "muh free speech" guy's leaders are sometimes folks trying to pass laws banning pornography. Strange team.
