Which type of passive is better for a hybrid damage/defense build?

So i've been wanting to make a build that is split between defense and offense equally. Not the best damage dealer, not the best defender, but an all-around (not including support).

Is it better to go defensive passive for this, or offensive passive? And what stat recommendations would you make? To be more specific, this would be for a might based build.

Depends on how much defense you want (you might also consider dual-spec). In general, if you're going to use hybrid role, you don't want to use an offensive passive (more than half of the benefit of an offensive passive comes from the ability to use an offensive role, they really aren't very good in hybrid role).

Here's a super-generic dual-spec might build (if you're willing to drift from theme a bit, there's several crushing debuffs that are less annoying to apply than Demolish). It doesn't have Challenge so it can't really be a primary tank, but it will be plenty durable even in dps role.
    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform
    v2.3.1-25

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Intelligence (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Savage (Str: 10, Dex: 8, Con: 10, Rec: 10)
Level 6: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
Level 9: Body and Mind (Str: 5, Int: 5)
Level 12: Healthy Mind (Con: 5, Int: 5)
Level 15: Covert Ops Training (Str: 3, Dex: 3, Con: 3, Int: 3)
    Level 18: Paramilitary Training (Str: 3, Con: 3, Rec: 3, End: 3)
    Level 21: Relentless (Str: 5, Rec: 5)

    Powers
    Level 1: Clobber
    Level 1: Enrage (Endorphin Rush)
    Level 6: Unstoppable (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 8: Demolish (Rank 2, Below the Belt)
    Level 11: Retaliation (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 14: Defiance
    Level 17: Haymaker (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Havoc Stomp (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 26: Resurgence (Rank 2)
    Level 29: Masterful Dodge
    Level 32: Lock N Load
    Level 35: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 38: Molecular Self-Assembly
    Adv. Points: 32/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations
    Strength: Swole (3/3)
    Strength: Physical Peak (2/3)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Upper Hand (2/3)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (2/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

Gear for strength and con; Int is on there to slightly feed MSA, but most energy is expected to come from Enrage and Unstoppable/Defiant.

Edit: I just realized you asked for a Might build. You can still use this build as a template and swap in some of the equivalent powers from Might for the HW stuff.

I think a dual passive build works best for what you're trying to accomplish as well. Here's my HW build for Ragged Reaper:

    (Unnamed Build) - Freeform
    v2.3.1-25

    Super Stats
    Level 6: Strength (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents
    Level 1: The Behemoth (Str: 10, Con: 10, Rec: 10, End: 8)
Level 6: Physical Conditioning (Str: 5, Con: 5)
    Level 9: Bodybuilder (Str: 5, End: 5)
Level 12: Quick Recovery (Con: 5, Rec: 5)
    Level 15: Enduring (Con: 8)
    Level 18: Mighty (Str: 8)
    Level 21: Paramilitary Training (Str: 3, Con: 3, Rec: 3, End: 3)

    Powers
    Level 1: Bludgeon
Level 1: Unleashed Rage (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Enrage (Endorphin Rush)
Level 8: Cleave (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenge!)
Level 11: Arc of Ruin (No Quarter, Wildfire)
Level 14: Annihilate (Rank 2, Scorching Blade)
Level 17: Void Shift (Emerging Nightmares, Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 20: Imbue
    Level 23: Thermal Reverberation
Level 26: Ebon Void (Rank 2, Voracious Darkness)
    Level 29: Masterful Dodge
    Level 32: Resurgence (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Unstoppable (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 38: Defiance
    Adv. Points: 36/36

    Travel Powers
    Level 6: Flight
Level 35: Lightning Flash (Rank 2, Rank 3)

    Specializations
    Strength: Physical Peak (3/3)
    Strength: Aggression (2/2)
    Strength: Brutality (2/2)
    Strength: Juggernaut (2/3)
    Strength: Overpower (1/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Upper Hand (2/3)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Mastery: Strength Mastery (1/1)

If this is for leveling you'll need to swap some powers around for convenience, but otherwise it's good to go. You'll want to gear for about 200-250 CON and everything else in STR. If you want to main tank, swap those numbers or have 2 sets of gear, if you never want to tank you can get rid of the Challenge Adv in Cleave. Also, I know that Thermal Reverberation scales off END, but after lots of testing I found that REC allows this build to attack non stop from the get go whereas END has a slow build that quickly falls off if Clinging Flames is not refreshed in time.

The rotation is very simple: full charge Arc of Ruin for No Quarter and Disorient, Cleave until it procs Clinging Flames (3rd hit is 100%), tap Arc of Ruin to refresh No Quarter and Clinging Flames, then I go to town with Annihilation occasionally tapping Arc to refresh debuffs.

I have successfully tanked Cosmics with this build and while I haven't done a parse on it in a while (used to be 6K dps before the Ego Surge nerf), it generally scores in the top 5 on the scoreboard when in DPS role. For all other content it works great in hybrid with Defiance and my DPS gear.
