The powers I've picked are partly to do with theme though I could really do without most of them besides sparkstorm.     Well, I'm a bit confused as to the theme you really want. You can make a tank out of every set in the game, so perhaps a bit more clarity as to what type of tank you'd want (melee vs range, if you have any preferred powersets or other attacks, etc) would be nice.

    My theme would mix melee unarmed martial arts type moves/heavy hitting brawler type moves with spark storm for both the look and theme that I want. it's hard to explain really. What I really want is to set theme aside for now and pick the most useful tank powers that exist currently. I know people have been saying that I can pick anything and everything but there has to be a set of powers, maybe 2 to 5 or whatever that make it so much easier and put the tanking on a whole new level.

    Okay, well.. I guess if you want an easy tank job regardless of theme, then maybe go for a DE/Infenral tank. I don't like falling back to this suggestion again, cause its rather dull, but it does work:
