Insect Themed Build

ealford1985ealford1985 Posts: 3,582 Arc User
I am looking for an insect themed build. I am having issues even picking the powers category. I was thinking the infernal set, but I do have electric flight and dig...The concept of this build that he is like Hank Pym where he has several different bug themed costumes. So I was thinking a "ZAP!" style...and poison and paralyze. Here are images of the looks, infernal seems to work because he does have chains on his stingers.

Just a few ideas (theme wise) and you let me know if it could work

Would Locust Swarm be valid in this build instead of Crippling Coils? I like the idea of sending my minions forth...also like you picked energy shield as hexagon and honeycomb is my theme.

Also...this is just me being picky, could support "drones" be replaced with resurgence ?

Thanks for all that you do here in the build corner of the forums.

Yea, charged holds aren't that great generally (not that Crip Coils is much better as CC, imo, though it has some utility in its advs) but for theme its still fine enough to take Locust Swarm. I just wouldn't be using it too often.

I chose Energy Shield cause its tech-like, which seemed fitting to ur costumes. I'm not sure if there's any block enhancers that fit ur theme better, but in that case you can just try out diff ones and pick the one you like the most. I'm not sure I would replace ur only AD w/ the drones, though after the ES/NM nerf imo the Active Offense slot is a good bit more disposable for PvE.

Gotcha! And I was saying I liked the energy shield and was wondering if you realized the hexagons And tech both played into the insect theme as well.

I'll give this build a go, see how I like it. Thanks again!

I had an old build that was basically electric attacks, with the Pestilence passive. Locust Swarm (w/Festering Bites) was used for flavor. I wish Locust Swarm would get a review pass - it would be nice if was an AoE instead of single target. Or could be used on tap like Bolas!

Also, don't forget the Giant Spiderbot! Makes a great pet or an Ultimate Summon.
