Does upgrading your block enhancer up the linger effect?

Was just wondering... if I take the advantage on TK Shield or Energy Shield (the ones with the lingering effect), does it actually add more protection to the lingering protection effect if I upgrade them, or, if all you're gonna do is tap for the lingering aura, it's always the same?

I don't think any of the block lingers are affected by normal ranks.

edit: quick testing in game showed that TK, Ebon Void, and Force Sheath's lingers weren't changed between R1 and R2_R3. Also, the tooltips giving the values for the linger effects weren't upgraded w/ normal rank ups.
