acid-based debuffing passive

Idling about in the warzone, thinking about this slime/ooze theme (I know, it never ends), and thoughts are coming to mind...

An alternative to Pestilence which adds a small amount of toxic damage to the user, applied perhaps a max of once per second, or per 0.5 seconds, triggered through one's own attacks, and when one is struck, but not as much as Pestilence of course. The main thing I'd want to see though is...

...when you get struck by a melee attack, the attacker receives a damage strength debuff. When you attack the enemy (possibly also a melee-range attack), they receive a damage resistance debuff. These effects would stack up to perhaps.... well........ I guess how much they stack depends on how potent each instance of it is. I'm imagining a value of 2 or 5%, stacking 10 or 4 times respectively. I'm thinking of the sometimes-acidic nature of such creatures, and I kinda want a setup where I can help people out by somewhat melting a target's resistance. It'd be as though coming into physical contact with the character is hazardous. Also, importantly, in the case of the resistance debuff, this affects all damage the target receives, not just the user's damage. That'd defeat the idea.

Of course, someone seeing this might want to add an acidic hint to their ranged attacks, I guess. Up to you guys on whether the user's ranged attacks get included or not. Probably a lesser issue than ranged attacks against the user causing the attacker to get debuffed, though.

Considering the way this works, it could possibly be a hybrid passive like Congress of Selves. Alternatively it could just be a support passive, since it's about reducing a target's damage resistance. Also, it might or might not give a percentage damage bonus, seeing as it's giving it in the form of debuffed enemy defenses, but it could still give toxic resistance.

...

Also, on the side, it'd be neat to see that poison-spraying attack the Roin'esh use become a regular power. Maybe a Champion recognition unlock.
