How does the game calculate Support Aura's?

From what I hear certain aura's don't stack, shouldn't it be something for example 4 of the same aura's, the 1st Aura, Full benefit, 2nd one half, 3rd one Quarter and 4th one eighth? if cryptic is worried about over-buffing the team but that's what Support is about, Supporting your team...

I do remember being told that the strongest aura in a group of the same aura (as in most value behind it) will always come out on top.

As for the exact stacking percentages...I don't have any data on this...I think the "easiest" way to test this would be with AoPM...maybe?

Isn't there a cap now of like 20 for each aura? Am I misremembering? If there are 30 people attacking Kiga do 20 people get the strongest AoPM and the other 10 get the 2nd strongest? Another thread suggested that the devs would actually like to limit aura to a fairly small number of recipients, 10 or 5?

One aura is used as the "main" aura. Then the number of stacks applies a multiplier to that main aura.

There is no obvious mechanic that chooses which aura is considered the main aura. As far as I can tell it's random.

Auras refresh on a cycle, and one aura will randomly get picked, using the first one to refresh the rest will give a bonus to that effect. Hence why people don't like it when hybrids come to town with their aura as a refresh cycle might result in their aura being picked for top spot.

It's not really random but it's also not particularly easy to control. The primary aura would be the one that hits the character first.

@carrionbaggage and I were able to force changing who's AoRP buff got applied by going out of range of the target player and then coming back into range.

So if someone had my AoRP, carrion could run far away and then come back in range to force that person to take carrion's AoRP instead.
